Swakistek Presents the State of the Republic!

In a recent State of the Republic address to the region, President Swakistek laid out his plans for the next two weeks, building on groudwork laid out in the first part of the term, and continuing to enact his campaign promise of frequent communication between the President and the Public.
His speech included his plans for Navy Week, an upcoming celebration of the ERN and its sailors, and the desire to ensure that the ERN can continue to be well-led far into the future, even when CSP isn't in charge. The effort, according to Swak, is to ensure that promising sailors continue to rise up the ranks to allow for a larger pool of future candidates for GA and a broader command staff.
The Interior saw an outlining of Swakistek's both broader based approach to mandatory recruitment - based around adding Deputy Ministers to the roster - and offering discounts on mandatory recruitment for service in the Foreign Service and the ERN. Citizen Integration is set to undergo a signifigant overhaul under the tenure of former Deputy Minister of Citizen Integration, Remsol Greyjoy, who rose to the position of Minister after Alexander resigned due to real life health reasons. This overhaul is designed to be a rethinking of CI, including an effort to increase the World Assembly membership among the nations in Europeia. In Culture and Foreign Affairs, a number of new projects and initiatives are underway, but were not revealed by the President just yet, though hints of an upcoming cultural exchange with an ally were made.
Run Off: Huge Win in Small Race

With the recent resignation of Senator Apollo, Europeia has elected a new Senator. In a recent run-off Stersteraved has defeated Remsol Greyjoy with huge margin of victory. It was a very short period of time for the candidates to campaign with just over 48 hours to do so. Though the race wasn’t highly contested it proved to very competitive and interesting.
Remsol opened his campaign with an apology to those in Europeia that he was rude to in the past. Remsol has just recently returned to Europeia after a break from region participation. He (Remsol) also stated that he wanted to finish what he started before he left; he wanted to finish a Senate term.
Matthew can contribute his win on running of the ideals of his lack of legislative experience here in Europeia, but experience elsewhere. Matthew stated that he wanted to become more active in the landscape of Europeia, and one can think that this win for him in this election and only boost him toward a very good future in Euro.
