During this conference Chairwoman Nancy Fellows announced that she would be seeking reelection at the end of the year. She also stated that she plans to keep her strict closed-borders policies in effect for as long as the Union is able, for the good of the citizenry, despite the growing tensions to the north. After taking a few questions she stepped away from the podium to allow her Chief Security Officer (CSO), Nicholas Surok, to speak.
Mr. Surok addressed public and international concerns regarding the closed-border policies stating that these numerous policies are in place to protect the citizens of the Oriole Union and the employees of Oriole Electronics from the growing threats of the outside world and that despite the Board of Trustees insisting on relaxing parts of the program several new policies would be instituted by the end of the Quarter.
