A Novel (Or rather Naval) Idea...

Scandigrad's rant gave me an interesting idea that would be a great gag to promote The North Pacific as the place to be.

Anyone here remember Tao The Wanderer? That particular nation essentially did nothing but move from region to region in an attempt to visit every region in NationStates.

OK, so here's my wacky idea: The Navy of The North Pacific.

What we do is to create a number of puppet nations and send them on a 'goodwill' trip through every region of NationStates. Each nation represents a naval vessel (and appropriately named) and being puppets would be of course non-WA nations in order to be innocuous.

We then send out this 'Navy' of puppets to simply pass through various regions, not as a group but as individual nations (so that only one nation/ship passes through any given single region so that it is not misconstrued as anything but a good will visit). We identify each region to be visited and then pass out missions to each 'ship'.

Each 'ship'/nation asks the Delegate of each region if they can make a port call as part of a world wide good will cruise. And, of course, each ship-nation has catchy motto to attract attention.

Using puppets, each nation in TNP can 'contribute' a puppet nation/ship to the navy so that no one actually has to move their nation out of the region.

It could be entertaining.

I like that. A lot. Great idea Romanoffia! Scandigrad is a sea bearing nation, so I think the idea of a cruise would be perfectly in character. Other opinions?

"Naval vessals" would TG the region's delegate for permission to 'enter port of call' before actually entering the region as a courtesy.

We could even have a 'Merchant fleet' that could pay visits to various regions to encourage 'trade' (which would mean embassy exchanges, etc.,,,).

Either way, it can't be done in a way that might be construed as recruiting (which, I think would be a NS rule violation, technically speaking).

This simple idea will draw activity to the forum, get other regions involved in RP activities, and let other regions know we are here to cooperate with them and help them if needed.
