Constitutional Convention

This is my idea:

Speaker hosts an informal convention in the RA. The entire Constitution is presented before the RA and parts of it are individually addressed and edits are suggested. Edits to individual areas of the Constitution are discussed, designed, and voted on in motions in separate threads. The copy of the entire Constitution in the main thread is then modified by the Speaker to incorporate each individual edit which was supported by the majority of RA members who voted in its thread.

When the RA feels it has made enough individual edits to the Constitution in the main thread, this version of the Constitution is proposed by the Speaker and voted on in the RA as an amendment.

Who knew it could be so simple?

I think repair of the existing Constitution is like trying to play pool with a rope. It's beyond repair and the government is dysfunctional at this point.

My suggestion, as has also been suggested by a number of others, is that we write a new Constitution so that we actually have a functioning government that promotes participation in a proper direction. The existing government is becoming a parody of the intent of the Constitution.

This is the convention. I pushed and pushed for an elected one of some kind, but this is what we got.

I have some proposals in this forum, feel free to critique them.
