Forum Administration plans

Eluvatar and I have been discussing and working on various things related to these forums in order to deal with some technical and staffing issues that we've been aware of for a while.

1. We have determined that in order to fix some functionality issues, we will need to use a Zetaboards option that would customize the URL for the boards. (I believe its forums.thenorthpacific.org, but Eluvatar is handling this since its part of fixing some coding problems we've had such as mulch-recipient PMs.)

2. We are also exploring the expansion of the forum administration team.....this takes some care because the people chosen have to be totally trustworthy and dependable and be respected by the TNP community. We haven't finalized the exact process or numbers, but I would anticipate adding some new Global Mods, and then promoting one of them to Admin in the near future. That at least is how we've done it in the past, but getting the right person(s) Is a very important part of this.

3. It has become apparent that we need to refresh everyone on forum rules, such as the terms of service, terms of use, and other forums rules and procedures, and once the general elections are over, then we'll have everyone reviewing those as well as how we handle behavior on the forums and how warnings are determined and enforced.

The Forum URL has changed. Old links and URLs will continue to function, as with the migration from invisionfree to zetaboards. With this I should be able to fix Multi-PMs shortly.
