Fall elections

I'm aware that we should have started the process for the fall elections. I appointed an election commissioner Aug. 23 and, shockingly, the ball's been dropped so far. I'll give it a day or so to get straightened out or, if all else fails, I'll run the thing myself. I'm ready to move on and I assure you this delay is as unwelcome to me as it is to you.

Elections timelines have nothing to do with judicial proceedings. They're separate. The elections dates are carved in stone and aren't supposed to be moved for any reason.
