Greetings From Greater Peterstan

Greetings and salutations from the Republic of Greater Peterstan.

As a young nation, represented by a new player, we have remained largely silent for the last couple of months as our officials were brought up to speed on the ins and outs of NS. We have spent this time considering our foreign relations goals, including our options in terms of regional affiliation.

In the end, we have decided that remaining a member of our large and powerful birth region makes more sense than departing for a lesser region. Although our nation is still in its infancy, we have a strong desire to become more involved in regional and international affairs.

We look forward to working with you.

Hello Greater Peterstan. Welcome to the forum.

As a new player, I'm curious how you heard about the game. I discovered NS through an article in GamePro magazine eight years ago.

I heard about it on a website called GamesForChange.Org. It's a conference/organization that collects and shares independent video games with a social/political bent. I highly recommend it. NS is one of the oldest games in their "arcade", to be sure, but I'm an old school BBS text gamer, so it doesn't bother me.

I had played NS in the past and I got a laptop for christmas. I was finding random things to do with it and I remembered that nation simulation game I used to play so I googled nation simulation. After realizing CyberNations sucked I reappeared here. :D

This is the only video game I play, actually, so I suppose I'm totally out of the "gamer" world.

Welcome to the region! Good to have you on board. :)
