TNP Elections

As I understand it, TNP's Constitution does not require candidates to accept their nominations. Therefore Govindia and GBM should be legitimate candidates for their respective offices.
 
After rereading the law, I would have to said that it's a mistake from my part and I would like to apologize to both GBM and Govindia for this.

However, I have decided to stand by my decision to start another Special Election at the start of July.

GBM and Govindia are free to request clarification by the court on this matter.
 
JAL, we do have to look at the election law, and not just the constitution, btw. I can't tell if you did or didn't from your post.

July 1st is Friday of next week. No one has heard from GBM yet, but there's no reason why the others who were mentioned can't be renominated at that time, citing their posted willingness to run. JMHO.
 
Regardless of the letter of the law, electing people who have not acknowledged any interest in a given position doesn't make very much sense.
