Partial Forum reorganization Now Complete

I've been discussing with the RA membership and government officials a reorganization of the non-governmental area of the forums (The government area is basically the Magicality City area,)

Because our government system permits the Delegate to organize the executive branch of government as they wish during their term, any plan to reorganize that area is constrained by that feature and we're be discussing that after the election period has finished.

This is the current plan for the partial reorganization; I don't expect any further changes in this road map, and I expect to implement it very shortly (within a few days.)

Out of Character

After two days of extreme and record-setting heat and humidity that only happens here this early in May about once a century, now we're having periodic strong to severe thunderstorms probably through Friday. We've had three waves go through since early this morning, so it makes life interesting.

I will probably not do much more on this until the weekend just in case. And this weekend, we won't make it to 60 F (sure beats yesterday's 95 F high and 71 F low, both records)

All movement and creation of subforums have been completed.

Three steps remain:
First, moderator permissions need to be created for the new subforums, Admin and Global mods will have mod permissions for all new subforums; the WA Delegate will have mod permissions for certain of them.
Second, auto tools need to be created for some of these reorganized areas now that the needed local archive forums have been set up.
Third, Some threads will need to be move to their proper locations, such as the threads for the FAQs. I plan to ask the global mods and the government mods to handle as much of that as possible.

If there's an access or viewing issue (whether that you can or you can't, send me a PM. Otherwise I probably won't see it.

Except for the actual archiving of old threads, which will be a shared responsibility, the partial forum reorganization has been completed. Autotools for the archiving taasks have been created, and anyone with mod powers may now archive old threads in their area of responsibility.

Completed elections and World Assembly threads have been moved to their local archives. The World Assembly area of subforums have been moved to the Nationstates Arena, where they will be more visible.

The Cabinet group of subforums have been moved to the General Archives, as they have hardly been used for two or three years.

Just letting you know.
