Well, That’s another term over. I am quite pleased that I managed to get through it keeping my record of zero banjections from the region intact. Thank you to all those who supported me by endorsement, and by voting for me in elections.

Now that the election results are in and I find myself in retirement, I think it is probably time to call it a day. It is obvious that TNP wants a different direction from the one I envisage. So it is time to move on. This is not a hasty decision – I wrote this note “just in case” before voting even opened in the current election.

I will not be very active in NS in the future, but I will keep the nation of Flemingovia alive for old time’s sake. Once the handover is complete I will move out of the region to somewhere that I can rest in peace. I am also stepping down as forum admin, effective immediately.

I wish Dali all the best as delegate, and hope fervently that he meant all the promises and assurances he gave in his election thread. At least if he does go rogue again he will not have me to fight.

It has been a fun seven years in TNP. I have met many fine people through thick and thin, and have learned a lot from playing the game. There are far too many people who deserve thanks to do it individually, but I will single out Nastic, Blackshear, Twoslit, Wilkshire and the others who welcomed me as a new player and gave me great incentive to keep playing. They also gave me a fierce affection for the North Pacific, on whose behalf I have fought many times.

So then, TNP is all yours – try not to break it.

Thank you, flemingovia, for your years of service, for being the one constant face of the region with links to the "Good Old Days", for sticking up for and believing in this region regardless of the challenges facing it.

The region will be poorer for your abscence.

Flem, I have no intention on letting you down. Besides, over the years from working both with the Constitutional government and on occasion working against it, I have had a lot of respect for you and for the dedication and patience for this region. I wish you the best in your retirement, and I hope that you keep in contact with us.

Thank you, Flem, for your dedication and services to the North Pacific. I think it's safe to said that the North Pacific lost another great player here. I wishes you all the best.

Take care Flem. You'll be missed in the game and have certainly been a constant within TNP through the various trials and tribulations. But like Regis Philbin said, at some point things have to come to an end.

Happy trails!
