Howdy from Topid/Daynor

I made one of these damn threads before, I know I did. Can't find it. I made a new one, sorry if that causes a problem. Feel free to merge if it will make it any easier on the forum.

Until very recently (an hour ago) I would describe myself as a WAer. I've had seven passed resolutions and two failed (to the best of my memory), but I've left that part of the game forever. I was also a raider a long time ago (I went by Daynor then), and a defender more recently. I'm the founder of the fairly young region The United States and an active member there, having built it to its +100 size by myself for the most part. I also am a Magister in TEP and I run the counter-recruitment program (I send messages to nations founded in TEP encouraging them to stay there and join the forums etc.).

When I came here the first time (I think) I came because I was trying to decide which Pacific I wanted to be active in. I obviously decided on TEP. I've taken TNP into consideration again, and I'll be honest, because the recent events make it look interesting.

I know that makes me sound like a trouble maker or something, but I can be a really productive member when I decide to be active somewhere.

So, I hope to be around here a lot... Yeah.

And already, can someone tell me where I can read the Constitution, Bill of Rights, Legal Code and any other passed laws?

I've read the constitution by opening the drop down tab at the top of the forum and copy and pasting it all into word where I could read it, but I'd rather just read the rest. :P

EDIT: Ah ha! Nvm.

Welcome, I am quite sure one of the admins will come by and adjust your mask according to your status shortly. (Which raise this question what is your nation in TNP?)

If I may ask though, which recent events had create your interest in TNP?

Oh, sorry if I wasn't clear, I meant the delegate changes and rather interesting leadership choices of Durk. As I said, while probably a lot more annoying to sit through from the inside... At least stuff happens here every once in a while. If that makes sense.

Daynor is my nation here, but, does that matter since I haven't applied to the RA yet? I had a question before I do so... As I said earlier, I built TUS from the ground up, and I'm still in charge of recruitment. We split it up by feeder so if TNP's assigned recruiter is gone I'd fill in for him. (So there is a chance I might have to do that for periods of time.) Would that be inconsistent with any of the oaths?

I'm asking this ahead of time since TUS recruitment is my first priority as of now.

I don't think there will be any problem with regard to recruiting in TNP for other region. Of course, others may prove me wrong, but I am not aware of any law against recruitment.

As for the masking, we have TNP Citizen and Diplomat masking. I am just wondering whether which one will you needs.

Regarding recruitment, it would not be inconsistent with your oaths (unless you are aiding a region which TNP is at war with, and as we are not at war with anyone at this time, then that point is moot). If your region was interested in also maintaining a diplomatic presence here, I think that also would be a good thing for both parties.

Our inactive Secretary of Foreign Affairs is inactive. :P

He's had health problems.

This region was on the short list submitted to him for embassies when he gets back on his feet.

Mhmm. Especially since I'm one of the first people to be interested in making it the main focus of my NS career. It's gone so far from my best days, Commend Todd and Commend Sedge... :/

*waves back*

So I don't understand two more things:

First, there doesn't seem to be a forum to discuss the region in general... Only the RA sections which seem to be more for discussing changes to the region. (That's why I'm going to ask for clarification on the second point here because I don't know where else to put it!) :P

From what I've seen/read over the last couple days pouring through the forums, the current delegate doesn't recognize the constitution or government, right? That didn't sound good to me at first but since I also see he is endorsed by almost all of the people I see active in the government I'm guessing there is good reason for this, so I'm keeping an open mind.

Would anyone take the time to tell me why the government was a problem, and if the problem is the old structure itself or the concept of a government at all? (In other words, is the objection to how the old government was set up, or was the objection to having a government at all?)

Finally (and still on the same second point), if the delegate doesn't recognize the RA, none of the changes made have any effect at all, right? They will change nothing... So I guess I'm just confused as to why the government continued.

EDIT: Oops I lied, three questions, where do I apply to set up an embassy, or is that one of the government institutions about to be scrapped?

For TNP or NS related discusssion: http://s13.zetaboards.com/TNP/forum/39581/

Flemingovia recognize this constitution, but I believe it is his goal to scrap it. He think that TNP doesn't needs government because it's always a failure. So right now we don't have any other governmental department that usually exist (Military, Foreign Affairs, Domestic and Immigration) and Flem believe that TNP only needs spam and game. It's mainly a one man show government.

Flem's election campaign: http://s13.zetaboards.com/TNP/topic/6734344/1/#new

I don't know which part of the government is the problem because I don't think it is a problem. You better ask someone who think it is.

On the issue of the RA, Flem still recognize the RA and the oncoming election on Jan (or sooner if the recall happen.) will happens as schedule. The RA is still the voice of the region and the delegate still serve the region's interest.
