TNP LAW 29
Freedom of Information Act
Preamble: whereas the security and freedom oftheThe North Pacific go hand in hand:
Section 1:
a) The North Pacific government exists specifically to serve the people of the region and to act in the best interest ofthe majorityall resident nations of The North Pacific.
b) TheMinistry of the InteriorDelegate and the Executive officers appointed by him or her shall be delegated the task of informing the Assembly of any governmental action not already disclosed by the respectiveMinistersofficers of the Executive.
c) All registered citizens and/or governments residing in The North Pacific have the right to request information from the Government through theDepartment of Internal AffairsDelegate and the designated officers of the Executive, and
d) TheDepartment of Internal AffairsDelegate and the designated officers of the Executive shall endeavour to retrieve information requested from the different departments of the government, whom are obligated to release this information provided it will not and/or does not present a threat to regional security, and
e) Citizens or governments which do notrecievereceive this information for any reason not specifically designated in appropriatelegislationlaws or regulations may file a request for the information in a regional court, where theDepartment of Internal AffairsDelegate and the designated officers of the Executive may present evidenceto attempt to persuade the court to rule for either sidethat addresses any claim that release of the information impairs Regional security.
f) Information not disclosed because of issues pertaining to Regional security will be classified by the majority vote of theCLOCourt sitting as a three-member panel.
g) Information whose disclosure is deemed a security threat to the Region will be released by the affirmative vote of a majoritycourt rulingof a three-member panel of the Court, no sooner than 2 months after the original request, once the threat no longer exists.
h) All activities by the designatedIntelligence Agency of the North Pacificregional intelligence services are exempt from this law.
