I don't see how this could be considered a bad thing. I'd like to point out that Time Warner (which includes Warner Bros) already owns DC and there has been no real change that effects content.
This could be quite beneficial in terms of the films, as Marvel's film rights have been a bit...awkward. Several of it's characters have movies made by other studios instead of Marvel's own...so feasibly with the backing of Disney it could be possible to buy all those back and gently wedge these films into the film inter continuity Marvel seems to be aiming for. I hope.
Anyway, currently Disney seems to be going for a more 'encourage creativity' approach rather than the 'lets see how many pointless sequels we can make' approach that was touted a couple of years ago. Little Mermaid 2, sleeping beauty 2, Lion King 3 anyone?
Also, if they bitch slap Joe Quesda whenever he has a stupid idea, then they deserve a medal.
