Request for ruling

Well, the constitution says 2 terms. However, since he took over Flem's term I wouldn't count that as a term. I feel he should be allowed to run one more term.
 
Hmm. Yeah, but the Constitution doesn't specify two full terms. If Syd had taken over more than half way through Flems term I'd be inclined to agree with you, but he didn't he took over less than a month into the term so he did serve the majority of it.

Though it has no legal standing as such, the precdent under the previous Constitution was that a term counted towards term limits if you served more than half of it.

Technically if Syd is allowed to run again then he will be in his third term as Delegate, not third full term but it would be his third term. Reading the constitution as written and looking at our previous rules on this I'd personally say Sydia should not be able to run in this election.
 
Nice to see Flem was reading this thread... :P

I think we need to make a decision as quickly as possible on this. Problem is we technically need Falconkats present for us to be able to reach a conclusion.
