I've decided to accept the nominations to stand for a full term as Speaker.
While there wasn't a lot of proposals during the time after I stepped in to serve as Speaker, the proposals that were adopted marked a milestone, in my view, under the current Constitution.
It marked the final changes needed to make the current constitution workable, and complete the updating of the Legal Code to be compliant with the current Constitution.
This does not mean that other proposals and ideas won't be wanted or needed, but it does mean we can now look at such ideas with a current Constitution and a current Legal Code.
I believe the current procedures promote a fair opportunity for discussion before things go to a vote. However, it is not the Speaker's job to offer most of the proposals requiring a vote out of the RA, and I hope that members will feel more freedom to offer ideas for discussion that lead to proposals for votes.
I also hope I can find the right person to serve as deputy Speaker to handle membership applications. Law 28 permits such a position, and it would simplify things for me if I can find the right person that can handle that take. (It would have to be an Admin, though, so I may have to strong-arm Ator or Flem.)
I think I've earned a full term in my own right, and I seek your vote and support.
