So what's going on with the Azure Alliance?

Is there anything going on with the Azure Alliance? I've just gotten in touch with my counterpart on The Pacific, Wild Bill Hiccup, and I plan to speak to him about greater defense cooperation.

In other news, I'd like to suggest possibly giving several region the chance to join the Azure Alliance, including some non feeders. (possibly)
 
Nothing, as far as I'm aware - but I've yet to be briefed as to its current state. After getting the ministry's forum up and running before the 1st, this will be one of my primary priorities.
 
We're also going to need to verify what the Treaty requires in the way of Senatorial elections, so work can be performed to adapt our election code for those elections. (It's not in the current bill, but I'm anticipating a subsequent bill to address that issue.
 
Personally off the top of my head I'd probably go with either having it appointed by the delegate or, if elected, a 6 month term.
