Off Topic Discussion

I feel I have every right to be in the channel at any time like anyone else other than between 9 and 10 pm EDT. Furthermore, due to the timezone difference, it is impossible for me to always be on there at that exact time as that's usually when i'm heading home from work.

If that's a place where government business is allowed to be discussed, all RA members should be allowed to have access at all times, and not because some people are not mature enough to learn to either A. deal with people in a civil manner or B. use the "ignore" button if one does not want to talk to a person but wants to talk to others. I personally do not harbour personal grudges against anyone and am willing to work with everyone and I reasonably expect others to maturably do so in turn.

Yeah, no offense, but I can see banning him from the Social Lounge due to outbursts, but why keep a semi-permanent ban on him in the government area?

Just seems too personal to me, but what do I know? <_<

1. IRC is not mentioned in the constitution.

2. Discussions do not officially begin until the transcripts starts...and your being allowed in so I believe I am being more than fair.

3. Government business is also discussed here...the chat will be public...u can still speak your mind in that thread. Just like everyone else who can't make it.

4. You circumvented a ban. Period. One that I did not even make and that I told you we would discuss later. You obviously have a problem with respecting rules and decisions.

I reasonably expect others to maturably do so in turn.
Look in the mirror and say that a million times.

Due to your actions (which I will not get into here unless you really want to take it down that road) you can no longer contact me via messengers or IRC. You can refer to me as Tresville and not Cisco. Bring up matters that are not Gov or game related via PM or TG to me and u will be blocked from contacting me in this forum and in game.

I think I have made myself clear...publically and via my reply to u via pm.

So in other words, I was right, this is personal.

Probably has something to do with TWP. Cisco seems to get rabid towards those who criticize it, as his replies in the "Favorite Pacific" thread demonstrate.

Actually, not even close. Lets just say Gov abused my messengers and leave it at that. You know his history so I am pretty sure u can figure out the rest.

P.S. I would like to point out that I have not brought any legal action towards Gov, I did not Ban him from the room until after he circumvented the original ban that I did not place nor do I want to mix his OOC actions with IC ones. I have to now seperate IC and OOC with him due to his actions. Believe me I am protecting him more than myself.

You apparently do not understand the concept of how Cable ISPs use Dynamic IPs. IPs change once in a while when on a cable ISP. I did not deliberately circumvent any ban. I merely typed /join #thenorthpacific, then checked the mode to see if I am still on the ban list, and then promptly left when I saw that I was still on that list. My IPs changed between the time that I was originally banned and now. Back then, Kervoskia, who had a habit of flaming me and such, was the one who had banned me IIRC.

In either way there is no other reason to keep me on a semi-permanent ban on that channel unless someone is taking this personal and not professionally. It's a government discussion channel, and even if the official "transcript" recording period isn't started, there is no plausible reason to keep me banned as I am a TNP citizen.

Now your lying. You did not leave...I had to ban you for you to leave. This was like 8 hours after we spoke on messenger. You knew the ban was still in place since u contacted me about it. I said u were still banned. You went to the room knowing u were banned and circumvented it. I believe this is rather clear.

I am a tech...so don't try to school me on networking knowledge...I do this for a living.

I already gave the reason. I believe I am typing in English so you should understand me even if you choose not to listen. It doesn't matter if you agree with it or not. Deal with it.

This road your choosing is one that you have taken a few times...tread softly.

Speaking as a player and not in any other capacity could I suggest that you both table the discussion or at least hold it in a more private setting?

To clarify:

Once I saw I was on the ban list still I left by closing the tab on Pidgin IRC. If I had to type /quit #thenorthpacific to actually quit the room instead of merely closing the tab well I didn't know that at the time and apologise. I only then contacted you after the tab was closed. and again, at the time I spoke I didn't know I had to explicitly enter the /quit command. I'm not familiar with all IRC commands and I use IRC through Pidgin so Pidgin's way of dealing with the IRC interface isn't the same way as Trillian or ChatZilla.
