Banner and Skin changes

I commishioned Thel to design us a new banner. It is already up. I will be working on other variations and hopefully making the banner animated.

Will also be doing slight skin and icon changes soon. Hope everyone approves.

Suggestions?

Maybe you meant well Tresville, but the masklhead banner is totally unreadable for me. I wish you had at least asked for feedback first so the use-ability issues could have been addressed before it was changed. and not after.

I'd also request that you at least have the other changes tested before you implement them.

I like the current skin and icons.

Will I be allowed to go into my settings and choose the classic skin, or will I get stuck with the new one?

This is work in progress. Thel gave me the original font and a copy of the background. I have to make it "Largest Feeder in NS."

I don't have access to the ACP and I will take what I can get when I can get it. I don't know why u can't see it. Clear your cookies and check your browser settings. I seem to have problems with the entire skin in firefox but IE works fine. Adding 1 image shouldn't do that. Will run the forum through a scanner later to see why.

I request changes...I can't implement them.

I would like your opinion...this way we don't get complaints later on. I took the advise of a few people already. The blue matches our colors, its pretty simple...I also added a nice motto that we can adopt...one more accurate. Let me know what u think.

I have enough to do...I don't want to design 3 or 4 more banners when I still need to work on icons. So if u want a contest be my guest...I just won't be active in it.

I am going to request from the admins that they add this as the new banner. This thread has been here for a few days and we have not had much input into it. So get your last licks now!!

Tres, one reason why there might not have been much discussion is that this forum is supposed to only be for general announcements that are tied to the "Latest News" link at the top of the main forum page.

Nerhaps next time you might open a separate discussion thread in the Delegate's office or whereever it might be more relevant; and locking the thread with the announcement.

I don't always check this area for admin requests, so please put those where they're more easily found, or better yet, just send me a PM. Those make my life a lot easier than having to hunt them down all over the place.

PS I can't figure out where the URL for the banner goes. I've looked, but since Flem made the most recent change, I'm not sure what he did. I can't find the URL for the current banner graphic in the board wrapper.
