Fearless Leader for Vice Delegate-- ironic yes

Fed up with verbose curios.

Tired of ridiculously lengthy constitutions which cannot guarantee your safety from internal tyrants and external invasion.

Fed up with an endless stream of pointless WA resolutions that only serve to anger foreign powers who mount successful invasions and punitive expeditions that move the forum and screw up your social life on this forum.

Think we should have an army before we have foreign entanglements like the Azure Articles of Confederation.

The amusing traitor Galapagos Isle, Former Commander of the North Pacific Army and Former Minister of Defense etc, has shown us that our defense establishment has been sub par for too long--perhaps even forever.

Our high-minded Wilsonian internationalist foreign policy has not resulted in a torrent of "international pressure" and "good will." Or perhaps it has, to no effect.

As your vice delegate I will negotiate away the North Pacific's World Assembly Vote on a temporary basis, in exchange for a renewable Peace. If at all possible I will negotiate similar arrangements for the rest of the Azure Confederation.

There are many who find this idea abhorrent--Let them form an an army and see off an invasion. And then let them form another army to defend the Azure Confederation.

Further, the Government must have the capacity to stand without the Delegate. To that end I will work tirelessly until a House of Lords is created and EVERY nation with 150 endorsements is given a seat. Such a body will review the Delegate's Decisions and, where necessary remove him. The Same should be true of the Court

It is the responsibility of all free nations to defend their region. This defense should take the form of a well trained Militia which only compels its members to act defensively. This House of Lords should have command of any such Militia which shall act to expel invaders.

Peace through strength. Freedom through order. Prosperity through individual accomplishment. In accordance with Natural Law. Soar with the eagles.

So every endotarter and invader could be given a prominent place in the government (including the responsibility of defence?) by virtue of their abilities to click a nation, click the "Endorse blahblahblah" button and paste "Hi, I endorsed, endorse me back kthnxbai"?

Also, your stance on the World Assembly suggests that we should make concessions to Gatesville (IE appease them) in order to gain peace.

NO.

Just NO. We don't have to get other region's approval on how we run our affairs.

Well yes endotatring is the appogee of strategy and the locus of political power in Nationstates I . "Serious game-play" is reserved for NS2.

What else has ever happened besides appeasement in the history of Gatesville and TNP.
Since Gates has "founder" status in Gatesville we couldn't defeat him even if we all moved there and elected GBM Delegate. Gates on the other hand, can back the next L & C desolve the government discard the constitution ,etc., Give the man what he wants, save the Azure Confederation, buy time to build up the army--at this point armies.

No, no it isn't. The ability to endotart has no correlation whatsoever with your suitability for government; we've seen this time and time and time and time again.

Gates rattles his saber, tried to invade TNP, fails, gets bored and signs a peace treaty. Repeat until peace becomes boring.
By your logic we should pander to every raider region.
Bob the raider wants to invade TNP - well, we better give him whatever he wants since he's the founder of Bob's Raider Region; we can't defeat him!
Where does it end?

I can understand wanting to build bridges, but this kind of 'Peace in our Time' appeasement naivety will make us a laughing stock.

That is a Normative judgment.
To become Delegate is to endotart better (or worse) then anyone else in the region.

To remain Delegate is to continue endotarting better (or worse) than anyone else in the region.

To loose the Delegacy is nothing more than to have a have a better (or worse) endotart in the region.

To raid is to brig enough endorsers into a region so that an outside endorsee becomes the best (or worsy) endotart in the region.

To govern, or just get along with other people, is not simply a variable without correlation, it is one that cannot be defined in relation to endotarting.

Given the large size of the (TNP) region, lesser endotarters with sufficient strength to be a threat (150 endos, according to the RA consensus) to the Delegate must be brought together (in the proposed House of Lords) so that a tyrannical "rogue" Delegate can EXPECT to be removed and all of the present invaders and usurpers and popularity nuts can restrain each other successfully. This may not result in good government; there is an excellent chance that nothing will get done most of the time. But it should prevent external and internal tyranny. This allows for the maximum amount of freedom to pursue happiness on the forum. :D

Except that in order to be delegate, or at least a good delegate, you need more than just the ability to endo tart, although in game mechanic terms, that is all you need.

Not sure what you mean by the House of Lords thing. Why bother bringing together endotarters? It's clear what they want. Since they could have any agenda whatsoever it's only sensible that the delegate keep an eye on them and tell them to knock it off. If they want to be delegate, they go through the forum elections. Doing otherwise undermines the whole basis of our government and forum.

It's obviously a thinly veiled scheme to undermine any attempt at building a regional army or militia of any sort. I'm on to you, bub.

Well I voted for you because...

1) Your policies are amazing, incredible and so true to everything that I've ever dreamed of.

2) You are possibly the most fearless potential delegate this region has ever had.
