As I have volunteered to serve as Election Commissioner, I am withdrawing from list of nominated candidates. :ADN:
 
I would also like to point out that we have not formally agreed to an election timetable, outside of 10 May being the time when nominations will officially start. The priority right now is getting voters registered....:ADN:

make sure everyone follows the guideline in the link I provided above. make sure everyone voting is eligible, recheck UN nations are still in the region. ensure all the nominees are in by the due date, ensure the vote begins and ends at the allotted time. Open the voting link on the 17th and that's all off the top of my head.

Oh yeah I forgot, create a thread listing all the available offices that are up for election and all the candidates (the candidates that have been proven eligible as members of the RA.) As the campaign rolls on, you should provide their platforms hyperlinked to their names.

It`s not necessary but its been done before and makes us look hyper organized and easier for the Noobs. Also it`s something you can do right now.
 
I have received a couple of PMs asking if I will stand for elected office. I cannot at the moment, but I would set out my stall to whoever does get elected - I quite fancy being considered as Foreign Minister. I would use the office to develop the "guild" idea I floated during the war.
 
I move that we keep the nominations open for 3 more days. We do not have enough candidates running for the CLO. I don't understand why. The position comes with a La-z-boy, a widescreen plasma hdtv, and an unlimited supply of beer.
 
Most certainly. You have to know how to operate the remote for the widescreen plasma hdtv. ;)

By Order of the Election Commissioner, the nomination deadline is extended to Midnight GMT (1700 PDT / 2000 EDT) Monday, 12 May 2008. Any nominations after that will be invalid. Campaigning shall then start from then on until Midgnight 19 May GMT, after which the voting period begins.

I'll officially nominate myself for a continued seat on the CLO. If we get a sufficient field of CLO nominees, I'll withdraw my self-nomination for CLO (because I think that it's better to have all positions filled by different people instead of a handful of people occupying several positions. Does that make sense?).
 
I would like to thank Mr. Sniffles for nominating me to run for the delegacy. After much thought, I have decided I will not be a candidate for Delegate.

I will be glad to run for the position of Vice-Delegate.
