*chuckles* Nope.

Here's some cellphone pix from my drive back from Butte yesterday.

Of course, when I got back to Helena, it was sunny and dry. And still is, while there's a winter storm in the mountains.

I had to laugh at that. I can clearly distinguish 11 cars in the picture, plus the one you sit in, gives 12. That's not very heavy!

Don't get me wrong, I come from a shithole nearly as shitty as Anaconda perhaps, but nevertheless I can tell what heavy traffic is!
Otherwise, wonderful snow, wonderful mountains (are there skiing areas there?)!
I always wondered whether there was one town in North America who knows the concept of pedestrian precinct. Bozeman not, obviously.

Wow, I posted this topic, then completely forgot about it. Anyway...

YES we have skiing I'm about 45 minutes from one of the largest ski resorts in the world, supposedly (Big Sky) with the largest vertical drop on earth (again, supposedly). And, actually, Helena, Montana has a little shopping district that's closed off to cars.

Speaking of skiing, I ski to work daily. I took some pics today

Duck crossing! The town keeps a few ponds around town heated so the ducks can stay here year-round. I pick up the trail right beyond this sign.

The dental floss tycoons are all along the (Canadian) border line

Ah, they told me that the biggest skiing area in the world was around here (1 hour), Portes du Soleil. 650 km of tracks! I envy you for thy snow everywhere. On the other hand, the cloud that is just ahead looks like snow, too!

It does not look as cold as Yorkshire.
