There are three immediate tasks for the Board
Electing a chair, and having the RA elect the new seventh seat on the Board of Regents.
then appointing a chancellor for a new term. I'm not unwilling to be selected, but since the appointment was due this month, I felt it was inappropriate for me to do anything on more than a caretaker basis until then.

Now that the elections are behind us, I will take the Board vacancy (in the form of the new 7th seat) to the RA so they can elect the seventh member.
As to the Chancellor position, I'd prefer that someone else be elected now that I have been re-elected to a new term as Speaker. As things stand, the next elections are likely due in May (and the next chancellor term will also expire in May), so I need to devote my primary attention to the Speaker's chair and to the responsibility of forum administrator.

Hopefully within a couple of days. There's also a vacancy on the Court that hasn't been filled in months, and there needs to be an election in the RA for that as well.
