Nations, Citizens, and Friends of The North Pacific,
I come before you today to announce my candidacy for United Nations Delegate of The North Pacific.
We have come to a critical point in the turbulent history of TNP. Our region has weathered a variety of political and military conflicts, and rogue delegateships. Many of our finest citizens have left the region or ended their participation in frustration over the ongoing situations that have plagued us. And now we face the specter of inactivity, as all in NationStates do, except that here, a proud feeder region, we also face inaction at nearly all levels and positions in the region. Many old friends that I still have contact with that were formerly with us here, see no point in even trying to accomplish anything here. But I disagree.
I still beleive in TNP.
I have been involved and participated in the region on and off since early 2004. I have always considered this a home that I want to defend and protect. I lead the E-Army as the largest participating NationStates army in the liberation of TNP from Great Bight. I worked within and without the region during the Pixiedance/Peirconium period to restore the voice of the people to the governance of the region, and to bring about delegate elections. I participated in the Constitutional Convention that lead to the previous Constitution. I worked with the government and worked with Chodean Kal to resolve his rogue delegacy, to come to a mutual means to restore activity and governance to the region. I worked to gain influence and endorsements to offset EM during his rogue delegacy.
I have served as delegate of Equilism on two occasions for a total of more than a year, while also maintaining the Founder nation for three years now. I served as Founder of The Moon for a time as well. I know the responsiblities of delegacy, and how to manage a large region.
I served as Secretary of Defense, Director of Intelligence, Prosecutor General, Deputy Director and Acting Director of the Alliance Defence Network (ADN). I have a full understanding and ability to manage and organize a large organization and/or government.
But I am not beholding to anyone or any history. Nor am I afraid to take bold actions when needed. When Equilism was fading towards death due to inactivity, I disolved the government, voided the constitution, and moved the region forward. I negotiated in good faith with those that disagreed and came to an agreement that we could all agree upon, and created a new government system that has served us well, unified us, gave governance to the people, and continued the region's history as a large and active participant in NationStates.
In the ADN-Ireland War, along with EuroSoviets, I negotiated the peace treaty that ended that war that threatened to become a NationStates wide world war. I have served the Foreign Affairs Ministries of Equilism, The Whole, and TNP.
I beleive that my experience and abilities will serve the region well.
We need to promote our active members - encourage and engage their spirit and activity in the region. We cannot grow activity in the region until we do this. Those that gain office or position, that then become inactive or barely active need to be replaced with those that would be happy to do the job actively.
We need proactive leadership, to rebuild the region into something we can be proud of, and can show to the NationStates world that TNP lives. That TNP is an active player in the NS world.
I ask you today for your endorsement, for UN Delegate of The North Pacific.
