News from around the world

To keep me fit and open-minded, I ask for your opinion on several topics....

First, there is Bush and Iran. Why the heck was Bush so bellicose? Or did he have no idea that Iran had stopped its programme?

Kosova...what will happen when it becomes independent? And it will, on december 10th. I don't dare to guess, frankly.

Australia has a new government! SR, how do you feel? Better, I hope?
Yay for Mister Rudd!

What will happen to Belgium?
I hope it won't get divided!

Was the summit in Annapolis a success?

Do we need to worry about the weak dollar (respectively, for the other than me on these forums non-existent Eurolanders, do we need to worry about the darn strong Euro?) ?

And about the oil price? The US-subprime crisis?

Is Putin a disguised dictator? Or is he a democrat? ;)

What will we do about Pakistan?

Wow, I want too much information...

Wow, I want too much information...

Yes, you do ! :P

I've spoken to a few people in Belgium. Their conclusion: There will always be a Belgium.

As to Iran - it's just an intelligence estimate. So maybe they discontinued their nuclear weapon's program and maybe they didn't. Maybe they didn't have one in the first place. *shrugs* Six months from now maybe there will be a new estimate that says, 'opps, they really do have an active weapons program'. Asia is getting too dangerous with those nukes. Might be more important to worry about a Pakistan military dictator controlling nukes. Dunno.

Annapolis - I'd say it was a success just to have that diverse of a group of leaders meeting in one place. But who really would have expected anything at all out of it. At least it seems it didn't devolve.

Dollar vs. Euro - I expected the Euro to go up over the dollar long ago. Just took longer than expected.
