ONCE UPON A TIME there was a visitor named Kirby. TWICE UPON A TIME he visited. Kirby's time is up. He wishes you all well. Where's Kirby going? Forever. Possibly. Time to take my place in the wall. Here's another clue for you all: I buried Yellowbeard. There was so much to grok, so little to grok from. What strange customs of this place, what wild passions its people have. So long, farewell, amen. Next year in Jerusalem. Time marches on but not for me. Tell Mum he's done his part, a far far more goodly one than he has ever done, a far nicer rest than he'd known. 'Funny' is a thing of goodness, maybe; such a horrible lie --the goodness is in the laughing itself. Kirby was told it was bravery and sharing, and he tried his best to grok this. Your devoted servant forever and ever.

Ahhh hELLz, Kirby. TAO will miss you. You were one of the constant bright spots in here for me.
