Right then guys we need to get started on what we plan to do this term.

I know and can see what some people are doing but I'd like to have everybody post in this thread what their plans are for their Ministry this term.

The key priority is, I believe, constitutional reform. I hope that we can get something new in place before the end of this term. This isn't so much of a 'cabinet' thing but as the leading members of the region I'd like to think that all of the cabinet will be active contributors to any discussions on changes to the constitution.

Continue with writing news articles, I would also like to appoint someone to run the RMB, since I have little interest in that side of my job. Apart from that, perhaps establish a team of writers and try and get the news out there.

I'm happy to help/contribute with constitutional reform as well.

Uh, process cases as quickly and as efficiently as possible?

Sorry, my ministry isn't exactly a particularly productive one...

I've already made an offer to a fairly new member of the RA as to the deputy position; am waiting for a response that is promised for tomorrow.

The University will continue to be a primary focus. As soon as the special election for a new Speaker is completed in the RA, the first regular election for the Board of Regents (and its six month term) will need to be held and conducted.

The MoCE will also be canvassing the RA for suggestions as to what type of commemorations and celebrations are appropriate for each of the newly established official holidays. Input from all Ministers and deputies will be welcomed. I have to see which dates are coming up first. Once we have a MoAE then their input would be welcomed as well.

I am working on an alternative plan for constitutional change. Stayed tuned.

Oh, and I already made an offer for the deputy spot a few days ago. The person in question is taking it into consideration and getting back to me shortly about it.

Also, I ditto the whole constitutional reform thing.

I will be selecting a deputy soon. My primary goal is to improve operational integration with other regions, particularly TWP, and to get our troops out on more missions. I will be auditing some of the infrastructure of the NPA, to see what's necessary and what's not, but overall, more stuff to do is my goal.

Isimud has accepted appointment as the Deputy Minister of Culture and Education. He's a recent arrival to TNP, and stood for election to the Security Council in the recent general election. This appointment certainly fits the desired mold of placing newer residents of TNP in deputy positions, when possible, in order to broaden the spectrum of citizens involved in the government.

I'm going to get that new constitution pushed through the RA so's I can be alll-powerful. ;) Toss the lot of you lolly-gagging scallywags off the port side. :greatbight:

I am shooting for over 300 endos, and TGing new nations with a forum invite. The scan will be run at least weekly and I will keep the SC apprised of any potential threats. I am paying some more attention to UN resolutions, and hopefully everyone will be putting their two cents worth into the discussions.

EM, Sounds good. The articles so far have been great. As we've had some of the Pacific Post articles posted here, do you think you could speak to your new deputy and see if we can get your articles posted over in TP? That sort of thing would be good, help increase circulation....

MO, Heh. No problem, I appreciate that your Ministry doesn't have that much to do. If you could carry on with the stuff you've been doing on the constitutional reform side of things that would be fantastic.

Grosse, Good to see someone new as a Deputy. I like the holidays idea. And I await your constitutional reform with interest (as long as it isn't biblically proportioned again that is). ;)

Gaspo, Again, sounds good. I'd like to see more co-operation with TWP but obviously things haven't been so swell with them of late. Let me know how it's goes. Could you also maybe look at working with EM so we can get info on the NPA when it does stuff out and publicise it better?

GBM,

Other cabinet ministers wot haven't posted in here yet, POST.

HC, what is the status for the MoAE? The only place where I've seen a thread is in the Announcements forum, but my experience is that most people never read that location.
I suggested perhaps asking Korrina to serve a full term since they were acting MoAE towards the end of the last term, but I saw no response to that from anyone. Edit:{/i] I just saw the new confirmation vote thread, so I guess we cross-posted at the same time.

As to the Speaker, btw, a runoff would technically eliminate punk d, since he had fewer votes than there were absentions.
