Isimud for the Security Council

Isimud

TNPer
I’ll make this, mercifully, brief. I’m running for the Security Council. Many of you have likely never heard of me. This is no surprise as I’m fairly new to both TNP and NS, however, I believe that I can help make a difference, and I’d like to be given the opportunity to do so.

A little about my background. I’ve spent most of my adult life with a U.S. security clearance. I know how to keep a secret and I work well with others.

One of the primary keys to keeping TNP safe is vigilance and I’m willing to extend my mind in service to that goal. TNP is my primary “home”, here at NationStates, and I’d like to be one of those at the forefront of keeping it safe, both during this period of turmoil and afterwards.

Thank you for your attention.

Nice to see someone new(er) running in an election. Did you consider running for a Ministry position or perhaps becoming a deputy after the elections?

Hello, Isimud, and I'm glad to see that you are running. :)

One question. The SC is designed to be a fast-moving, vigilant body. How often do you check the forums each day?

Thank you, HC. I did consider running for a ministerial position, but felt that my lack of experience in such a governmental position would be too great a hindrance and could, potentially, prove dangerous to TNP. I would consider a position as a deputy minister, but only if the minister were an experienced one.

Thanks to you, too, MO. Currently, I log on to the forums at least twice a day, mornings and evenings (Pacific local time), often more . If elected to the SC, I would ensure that I logged on at least twice a day with a maximum response time of 12-14 hours, barring RL disaster.

Thank you for your answer. Although my contact with you has been limited, they have all been positive. Your enthusiasm in the OoG, especially, and your moderation here has left me with a good impression. I think that you'd make a great public servant, and I wish you the best of luck in your campaign.

P.S. God knows we need some new blood in here.

Emperor Matthuis:
You could run for MoAE or MoCE, I'm sure you could do a good job.
I appreciate the confidence, EM, but, at this time, I prefer to take more of a background role, limiting my involvement to the SC and, possibly, a deputy minister position.

I, also, firmly believe in the liberal application of commas to any statement.

Thank you for your kind words, MO.
