Offsite forums have become a major part of Nationstates gameplay. This lesson will just briefly cover them, since there are other classes that go over the topic in depth. Offsite forums are forums seperate from the Nationstates program established to discuss Nationstates gameplay. There are two types: The Jolt forum set up by Nationstates itself and player created forums set up by Nationstates players. The Jolt forum set up by Nationstates is located at: http://forums.jolt.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=1235 . This forum is separated into different subforums. They are:
Regional forums, which are discussed more in other elective courses, are basically what we are on now. They are usually hosted by InvisionFree (which uses a modified version of Invision Power Board 1.3. Regions big and small use this complex PHP forum software to create forums for communication between nations on government, role playing, out of character discussions, etc. The list goes on. For those of you interested in learning more about these boards, consider taking one of the Forum electives.
This lesson's assignment is to post at least once on the Nationstates official forum in one of the in-character subforums. Post the link of your post. It can be a response to a United Nations discussion or a new thread on the flourishing economy in your nation. It is up to you.
