This isn't aimed at anyone in particular.

It's been unstated until now, kind of an assumed thing, that what goes on in the Private Cabinet Meeting Room stays in the Private Cabinet Meeting Room. It isn't just about a basic level of professionalism, or team coherency and not undermining the government. It is also so we can all feel secure in what we share with each other and comfortable enough to say it. If confidence isn't maintained here, then someone who has something important to say probably won't say it out of fear it's going to wind up halfway around the world by lunchtime tomorrow. The same is true for any past administration archives you may have access to just as it is for the current administration.

If there's something I'd like to say in, say, the Regional Assembly private forum I am perfectly capable of saying it there myself. Knowing that, and knowing that other people know that, helps me sleep easier at night.

Not a rant, not a soapbox or a sermon, just a short low-key chat. Thanks all.

Agreed - I have learned all too well in RL that any sort of effective management is impossible without the comfort to speak your mind without having to worry about how it may be interpreted by people who lack full context. Cheerio.
