Hello North Pacific!
I'm sorry this took me some time-- like Hersfold I have had a number of AP exams as of late, and I just wasn't up to writing anything for NS as a result >_> *cough*
Firstly, I'd like to thank all of the North Pacificans who voted in this election, even if but for Abstain. (That slimy character will screw us all over if he ever gets elected when he turns rogue, I swear) I'd like to thank Mr Sniffles for taking care of the office of Speaker this past year, and I'd like to thank CarlottaGuidicelli for also running in the election and giving the Speaker election meaning. I wish her luck in future.
In my election campaign, I promised a number of things. My obvious first priority is to fulfill them.
I: New Informal Rule System.
II: I'm in fairly constant communication with Gaspo, and am confident that registration is proceeding well.
III: The Security Council is running smoothly.
IV: In my campaign, I stated that the effectively optional, but yet very important, fourth function of the Speaker is to be a leader of the Legislature. Under that spirit, you will soon be seeing three things from me:
1. A Revamped Speaker's Office and RA FAQ. The latter will be expanded upon.
2. A series of informal polls on a variety of issues in the Preliminary Discussions areas. All are welcome to suggest issues. Once that series of polls concludes, I (hopefully with some help
) will be drafting a series of proposals that fit public opinion as expressed in those polls.
3. I will be presenting an essay defining and explaining my political philosophy, and take that as a starting point for my own arguments as an RA member in discussions.
