Advice on game play

I did not know where to go so I come here to ask if any one can teach nation states. I was sent this message to learn. I want to know if it is genuine letter as I am with doubt. Here it is now.


Many of you will know that I have been one of the main instigators of change in NS over many years. I have fought the corrupt game mods, I have battled with the players that have screwed the game...I have even had more than my fair share of arguments with Max Barry!

As Insane Power I have become one of those players that has become synonomous with NationStates. I am advised that players used to join the game merely to discover if I lived up to the reputation they had heard about.

Now do YOU have the power to take over in my shoes? NationStates is full of pretenders, few of which ever become anything more than a bit success.

In five years of game play there have been less than a dozen major players, despite the thousands that play. Now I am prepared to take a player under my wing and help you succeed.

To enter this challenge you have to prove you are the best possible NS player of all time, you will do this by proving your worth to a jury, led by me!

The successful candidate will be mentored by IP and will be helped to great responsibility. Are you tough enough to be the next IP?

Tempting. But like Francos Spain, the name Insane Powers belongs to the past. What do you have to offer a young padawan?
 
I'm all for being the evil devil's advocate of Nationstates. I believe my existing credentials to be long and filled with mischief, some of which I can't even mention here, out-loud. However, I think you'll find a hard time finding other like me IP, and I don't think you ever really liked me anyways.

What sort of a teacher are you anyways?

It looks like Pin was sent that message in a TG. IP has the same message posted on the Lexicon's forum.

IMHO, IP certainly does have a big reputation. I don't know if he'd be a good teacher though.
 
Pin, thank you for posting the message you received from Insane Power. He has played this game for a good many years and knows the ins and outs very well.

There are also other seasoned players who have played the game successfully over the past few years. In this region, Former English Colony, Flemingovia, Thel D'Ran and myself have all served as Delegates of The North Pacific, and have been among the most highly endorsed nations in the game.

Any of us would be glad to answer any questions you might have about NationStates and help you out along the way.

I disagree with the statement that the game mods are corrupt. They do a lot of work for no money and I believe they do the best job they can. When a player breaks the rules, they will enforce them. Insane Power played a character who liked to test the limits. When you play like that, sometimes you get burned.

TAO just figured if IP really sent something like this, he is so vain (I bet he thinks this song is about him) that TAO figured he would sneak into this forum to see how his message was playing.

TAO also thinks several players in the game already play like IP ... they are rude, arrogant, and too full of themselves to offer anything else to anyone else. So my question still stands: What can IP offer to a young padawan (other than the things TAO has already listed?)
 
I think if that was IP flem would have sarted the violent uprising and IP banning already.


But sure if PIN wants the opportunity let him take it. Would be a laugh and a learning experience

I would like to be a mentor as I have fairly decent credentials. I was one of the very few who helped topple General Tommy Franks. I was in part responsible for his countless deations. And besides that I have a wide and varied set of credentials.

Hooked is hooked. None of us will be able to entirely quit this game until it finally breathes it's last gasping breath, or we all lose connectivity. hehe

And just chatted to IP, his nation is Inspire2. And this was meant as a joke and was posted on the Lex forum originally. And IP has no idea who Pip is. Sorry for all of you who were disappointed.
