Galapagos Isle For Minister of Defence

For those that dont know me I'm Galapagos Isle currently Lt. General in the NPA and currently serving as Deputy Minister of Defence for the NPA. I've been talking with Mesian every now and then and I will try to my fullest to keep his system alive because we've certainly have been having an amazing influx of new member's into the NPA since I've been in it.

I would also like to let you all know that I only work on trust, discipline and determination. I am very skilled in the stretegic field as well as being a great speaker/persuader. I believe very strongly in voting for my opponent's rather then myself becaus I believe it show's a great respect to the opponent and also sends a trust between one another so that we dont fight as enemie's for a position but rather as friends and have fun running against one another. I try not to pressure lots of people and if you have any NS related problem's please PM/TG me and I will try to help you out.

If picked for Minister of Defence I will take the current recruits that are in training and specifically help them master our line of work in evasion, efficiency, and most importantly time. Not only will our recruits be new to the work but they will also be working alongside their collegues in each mission we are sent in as. I would like to thank all that have read my campaign letter and I would greatly appreciate some feedback/question's if you all have any. Good luck to all Running for Minister of Defence and may the Best one win.

~Lt. General Galapagos Isle
TNP Deputy Minister of Defence

I will ask you the same question I asked of Ator People:

When missions are not forthcoming, do you generally believe in R&R for the NPA or training (using NPA regions)?

What is your position on the military be required to be authorized by the Security Council for operations of any kind?

I will ask you the same question I asked of Ator People:

When the NPA will not have mission's forthcoming I believe to keep our soldier's training because you never know when someone needs us and it's best to be ready then to be slow and take a while to get the troops together for it.

What is your position on the military be required to be authorized by the Security Council for operations of any kind?
I am Currently Lt. General and Deputy Minister of Defence.

opps, well, I think I did, though here's the other answer;

Well, If the security council requests for an operation at any time I will rally all the troops that aren't currently deployed to move in to accomplish the mission. The troops currently on training at any time will be informed about the mission immediately and forced to abort the training and to reienforce for whatever the mission is.

How do you view TNP's role as an actor on the international stage and how do you think the NPA does/can affect that.

Aside from continuing the current policies and improving training what other policies will you be putting into place?

What sort of role does the NPA play in internal defence and what do you plan to do to ensure the Delegate remains safe from foreign and domestic threats?

*Chuckles* What I'm meaning is that do you believe that the Security Council *should* be the one to give authorization to the NPA for military operations, or do you think that the NPA should be allowed to make it's own decisions?

Addition: Seeing as I also included a separate yet related question to one of your opponents, I'll also ask you. Would you be concerned at allowing individuals in the Security Council who may not come from a military background or who may potentially (and hypothetically) have certain... conflict of interests at seeing mission operational details and the like?

How do you view TNP's role as an actor on the international stage and how do you think the NPA does/can affect that.
I view TNP's role as highly as possible and TNP come's first. I also think that the NPA does and will affect that role. For example if the NPA is a bunch of slow, not disciplined, and use very poor judgement (No effense to the NPA) it would set a very bad example to other region's that we might be allied/friends to. I have been a foreign affairs minister a long long time ago and I know how bad a simple army can change the views of a region.

Aside from continuing the current policies and improving training what other policies will you be putting into place?
I will be setting up some security protocols to insure the defence, security, and safety of this region. I believe that the more secure we are and the more troops we have that will make us not only strong as a region but also strong as a whole group of individuals.

What sort of role does the NPA play in internal defence and what do you plan to do to ensure the Delegate remains safe from foreign and domestic threats
first of all, Wow that's an excellent question. The NPA plays in incredible vital role in internal defence and protecting the Delegate because we are the main force that not only helps other region's but we have to watch out on our own region as well. If we ever have a UN nation exceeding endorsements than that of our delegate we need to get the word out fast to the Delegate/security council so that we may act quickly. The faster the NPA is at doing things that safer we can be and the more knowlegdable TNP will be to other region's for not just Self Defence, but most importantly NS worldly support/defence.

*Chuckles* What I'm meaning is that do you believe that the Security Council *should* be the one to give authorization to the NPA for military operations, or do you think that the NPA should be allowed to make it's own decisions?
I believe that the NPA should be able to be allowed to make it's own decision's though it kinda contradicts to when the Security Council needs an operation done. The NPA cant just wait around for the Security Council to chose to make a decision on a mission though the NPA needs to be quick to move around and needs to be able to adapt to each change. If we helped liberate/defend a region and the Security council needs us, we'll just leave the region with one member to help them rebuild and continue with the mission the Security council makes. See, when the security council get's information it takes time for you all to vote on what should happen (no effense) though in the mean time during the voting the NPA should be able to act on it's own to do mission's around NS to help build up and strengthen our internal affair's as well as our Foreign Affairs/relation's.

Seeing as I also included a separate yet related question to one of your opponents, I'll also ask you. Would you be concerned at allowing individuals in the Security Council who may not come from a military background or who may potentially (and hypothetically) have certain... conflict of interests at seeing mission operational details and the like
Yes, and No. Yes because I would know that they wont know from our perspective of working together as a team and securing region's fast and effectively. No because I know that they have other resources that not a military background can have but they could give us views of those who can see around the military instead of straight through.

I am sorry to let you all know but I think this is a good place to let you all know that I will be off for a while (about 10 days) starting today. I will on the other hand try to answer your question's after I get back but I have to be off for quite a while. Good luck to all my friends/candidates that are currently running for an election and remember to not think about yourself but for all the citizens within TNP so that they may trust you and vote you in. Good luck again. Remember, I'll be back in about 10 day's maybe 11. Keep up the good spirit of TNP

Although I do know you are not present at this time, I will post my all-candidate question to keep it even for everyone.

What is your favorite colour, how does that colour make you feel, and what does this colour represent to you, with RL examples please?

My vote will be based on your answers to my questions.

1. Differentiate griefing from crashing.
2. What time does the NS update take place and why is it important knowledge to both defenders and invaders?
3. Do you agree to mix politics with the military? Justify your answer?
4. Compare and Contrast: Defense Mission and Liberation.

Thanks!

Ok, Im' here to check in and these are the answer's to those of you who asked questions:

What's your policy on working with outside organizations, especially in regards to the ones we do not have military agreements with?
My policy is that if they need us we'll help, if they dont have any military agreements with us and they still ask, We'll help to strengthen our tie's with Org's and Region's throughout NS. I would like us to be known as one of the main org's to help. And that is my policy.

What is your favorite colour, how does that colour make you feel, and what does this colour represent to you, with RL examples please?
Ok, My favorite color is Green because it not only makes me feel calm, patient, and prestigue it makes me who I really am. It represents growth within me and I would love to have the NPA grow among NS and to see the day where we can protect multiple region's at the same time. For RL example's green still makes me calm, patient, and prestigue though it also makes me think a whole lot better to help analyze its situation that comes to my being and I try to do my best to do my job. Also my eyes are mainly green, they change from green to brown to blue and sometimes a little bit of yellow, blue and green in them but stay's mainly green. (my eye color is Hazel for those that dont know which one changes color's)

1. ok, that's a tough one but I'll try. Griefing is bad behavior for all people to get into not only is griefing making fun of other people, with people bragging on and on, it get's very annoying and I would never like to catch myself as a griefing person. Crashing is where a region move's into another region and just totally spam's that regions' RMB while making a nusance sending tg's to everyone in that region just basically messing everything up in that region. Also crashing can get annoying and sometime's it's accomponied with griefing. I would also not like to be known to do any.
2. The NS region update starts at 6:00 am GMT time approx (different for each region) and it's important knowledge because that's when all the action takes place, the invader's move in to sieze region's and we need to be there to make sure a region get's protected from those invader's. The invader's start the action when update is because it's when NS start's updating the regional delegate spot in each region granted it does take time to get each region updated. We most be able to keep the delegate spot from the invader's so that we can have another day to plan out who get's the spot, who stay's to watch that region, how to move in (if it was invaded) and we need to be able to synchronize our movements to it. I am currently located in -5 GMT so it's 3:00 am when I have to be on around update and I do manage to make it to update to help any bit I can if I'm not already in that region.
3. Not really because not only does politics suck (no offense) but it keeps us (the military) from doing our job most of the time. If we worried about politics in our military then we'd have nothing to do and no one would respect the NPA to help at anytime because we'll get cought up in the region's politic's sorting and sorting everything out. Our soldier's start to lose interest in NS and then that's when people start leaving, nation's deleted, member's gone, everything falls. We need to be able to be flexible and to be able to work without interferance with politics as much as possible. If we have to enter any politics I'd like to be the one to head it while the soldier's go out and keep doing there job. I'd rather see a successfull military out working then to see them all confused and uninterested in their work.
4.
Defense Mission- a mission in which we go in and endorse the delegate to try to keep the invader's from buckling in and taking over that region.
Liberation- a mission in which our goal is to have a pointman some what like the invader's pointman and we endorse them to get the region and hold it from the invader's. After that we start planning on switching the region delegate position to one of the native's of that region that we feel is able to be responsible for the region's protection from invader's. In the mean time we will be there to help make sure the transition between delegates isn't interupted by invader's and are able to get the transition smoothly, between the defender pointman and the new region delegate, as possible.

I'll be back on wednesday hopefully to answer the rest of the question's you all post. Dont worry, I'll be able to answer them hopefully but I was able to get on right now to check and update you all on my status.

Thanks for your answers, but for the record, griefing is indeed any act that upsets the natives, but to be precise, NS uses it as a term for ejecting too many nations at one time. This used to be illegal, but the nations' new Regional Influence made it legal. Crashing, on the other hand, is moving a bunch of nations at the same time, to endorse the invader pointman.

It doesn't really matter that you don't know too many things at first, because IMO, what matters the most, is your willingness to learn. ^_^

Btw, I also love green. :D

Thank you for the information Harm. Also I would like to learn and have no problem of learning. I will try to use what I found out just now later on within TNP to help us grow and be known through NS (besides the fact of being a feeder region)
