Haor Chall for Vice Delegate
First of all, you may be wondering why I'm running for Vice-Delegate. I've served many terms in cabinet, mainly as MoEA (and a few weeks as MoD) but I'm looking for something a bit different really, whilst still being able to contribute something to the region and this term I think Vice Delegate is it. For me, it gives an oppertunity to be involved in quite a few different aspects of the region, whereas as a minister you tend to consentrate on the one area of your mandate.
So, what will I do as Vice Delegate?
To get the obvious bit out of the way, I will maintain the second highest endorsement level in the region. I've just started getting under way with this, and by the end of the election period I will definately be high enough in endorsements to be able to serve as Vice Delegate should I win the election. I will talk with Dalimbar, or whoever is elected Delegate, to decide on what sort of endorsement gap there should be between the Delegate/VD.
Just as importantly, I think the VD position - like the Delegate - is an oppertunity to work for the region in other ways then I have in cabinet. Really, it's all about working with other people, supporting the cabinet ministers in any way I can. Now, you might say that you could do that anyway, but I think being VD is an oppertunity to lead by example, as if it were, to visibly be involved in different aspects of the region and to encourage others to do the same. One of the major ways to do that is through the Regional Task Forces (RTF) set up by Dalimbar, which I would like to also to take part in. The two main areas I'd really like to consentrate on are;
Dealing with RMB spam is something I've recently taken up and is something I really want to work on this term. I'd like to work closely with the MoC and the RTF on this and really get things going to get control of the RMB for the region.
Recruitment is the other area. I put the forum URL into my messages when endo-tarting and I would like to work with the MoIIA to try and tackle recruitment. It would be great if we could get more people here and there is no reason why, with a bit of work, we can't manage to do so.
Communication, as in all things, is the key and I intend to work closely with the Delegate to ensure the Regional Task Forces are a success.
Finally, as for me personally, as I've said I've been in the region for a long time and have held many posts within the region. Obviously the Vice Delegate is a position of importance in terms of regional security and I think I have the experience and the trust for that and to be able to carry out the role of Vice Delegate successfully.
Any questions?
