So, I hope you all enjoy this issue of NPA news, and that you Keep It Real!

NPA News offers their congradulations to the recipients, and hopes they wear those medals with pride!

Withdrawal from Iran

NPA Combat Troops have been withdrawn from Iran due to operational reasons. 2 ACU has been re-deployed to Lazarus (not having even time to get a brew in TNP) and the 4 VGU have been tasked with providing security until a later date.
This withdrawal sees a shift in mission requirements for the NPA in Iran, as its Regional Assistance Mission to Iran (still Operation Azure), focusses on rebuilding the region, to an eventual re-founding of the region by the native leader, Saladin Sword.
NPA trainers have been tasked, when the time comes, to instruct both in areas of regional security, and training new soldiers. Irans government will be modelled closley to the RL one, which should see stability return to the region in the long run.

Military Intelligence though have become concerned as it appears that an Illuminati emissary is hounding the region, trying to pressure it into becoming diplomaticlly involved, and eventually, part of, the Illuminati Empire.

NPA Troops from 4VGU rush to board a suspected vessel whilst patrolling the regional coastline. Boardings such as this help to both prevent and deter unlawful combatants entering Iran.

The NPA has assured the natives of Iran that they will not let such an occurnace happen, and are monitoring the region carefully on behalf of the Iranian government to ensure there are no Illuminati incursions.

Re-Deployment to Lazarus

Just as our troops were readying to go home for some well-rested RR, orders came through for troops to redelpoy from Iran to Lazarus to support the delegate. With the nature of Lazarus (and being unable to eject anybody), the delegates survival depends upon a high endo count, and when asked, the NPA had no hestitation assisting this region.
The NPA news will look at keeping you updated as this incident unfolds.

Military Justice System

The New Military Justice System for the NPA looks at dealing with Disciplinary matters within the NPA, by the NPA. Now, this by no means means that NPA members will be treated more lightly, but quite the oppisite.
Appointed Legal Officers will both Prosocute and Represent Members, as well as both internal and external punishments recomended. This court was established with the MoD's authority.
Yet to be used, it provides us with a means to ensure the NPA remains the example to the rest of the region.

It has been a packed period for the NPA, and hopefully next issue, we will be able to continue to tell you of the leaps and bounds we are taking.

Keep it Real

The period of 18APR to the 06MAY has been hectic for the members of the North Pacific Army, and should be comended on keeping up the great work that now has come to be expected of them.
In this issue, we look at several areas of the NPA, including Operation Catalyst, our Regional Assistance Mission in Operation Vatican, the Infantry Combat Badge, the re-tasking of 4OAU, and have a look at Operation Steadfast.

Operation Catalyst

Operation Catalyst was an NPA training exercise within the Warzones. During the operation, NPA troops were able to secure 2 warzones, Asia and Airspace, whilst coming close to capturing a third, Africa.
The operation saw NPA troops practice acting as a vanguard unit, undertake ejection drills, muster drills, deploying as close to update as possible and various other tasks to challenge both troops and their officers.
Asia and Airspace were simple monouvres which saw the NPA able to hone in their teamwork skills, and attempting to deploy close to update.
When the NPA began to move into Africa though, and GBI began to re-enforce, it appeared that this was to be a type of battle the NPA have not encountered in its recent history.
The battle lasted for over 20 hours, and resulted in an NPA loss by 1 endorsement. A good show by all.

NPA soldiers fought hard over the 20 hours, giving GBI a run for their money, as seen here as an NPA soldier covers his ears as artillery fires.

Introduction of the Infantry Combat Badge

A new award has been introduced for those who are currently, and have, served in the NPA. The Infantry Combat Badge recognises the service of those NPA troops who have served with the NPA, in a region in which they come into direct contact with enemy troops.
All serving and ex NPA members are entitled to wear this badge. If worn with medals, it should be placed above centre to the medal block.

Operation Vatican: Regional Assisance Mission to Catholic

NPA Troops were also deployed yesterday to the region 'Catholic' on a Regional Assistance Mission. Request came from a messenger that we assist in the defence after NiCod troops were attempting to take control.
The NPA quickly deployed, assisting in combating NiCod troops on the borders. This operation came almost imidiatley after Catalyst, with only some NPA troops enjoying a brief 12 hour stay in TNP for some R and R.
The NPA is in catholic along with around 30 other defender nations.

Re-Tasking of the 4th Organisation and Administration Unit to the 4th Military Policing and Passive Defence Unit (4MPDU)

After the non-usefullness of 4OAU being highlighted in the election campaign, it was decided that 4OAU would become 4MPDU, or the 4th Military Policing and Passive Defence Unit.
4MPDU is the final stage in the the reform of the NPA military justice system. All NPA legal officers have been assigned to this unit, as well as two (2) Military Policing Officers.
As well as the above, 4MPDU also take over the Passive Defence capability of the NPA, with the mission to both train NPA troops, and execute the PD capabilities required to ensure force security when deployed.
4MPDU also works with the 2MIU in regard to counter-intelligence, and military threats towards the NPA, and TNP.
(2MIU still is the lead unit in this role, with 4MPDU acting as an auxillary)

Operation Steadfast - Protecting our Soverignty

Operation Steadfast aims at protecting our soverignty by combatting spam on the RMB. Not only is the NPA in the process of detecting offenders in regard to the 15 line limit, but also involved, in co-operation with others, in clearing the board of spam, as well as attempting to spark interest in the region by engaging in active ocnversation on the RMB.
Just another way the NPA looks to contribute towards the region!

Conclusion

As you can see, the NPA has been busy recently, and this activity still keeps on going. NPA troops remain in catholic, with requests for security advisors assist in the bolstering of security in the region.
