The North Pacific Welcome Pack

Hello, I am purinkle and I am a newbie

There it's out and you all know

No doubt, this has probably been posted in the wrong forum but that just emphasises my point

I have been wandering around this region for a couple of weeks now and I am still lost

I want to contribute and I don't know how

So, I thought (until I become a member of the RA), I would put together a "Welcome Pack" for new nations to the region (with the help of wiser heads) so that the region can be run more "democratically" and not by an elite group of people

Any ideas/suggestions/notes?

That sounds great!

Personally, I think that such a welcome pack should include a basic starter kit for new nations, both relating to the game itself and to offsite activities here on this forum.

Perhaps a sentence or two blurb about:
  • Answering issues
  • Joining the UN
  • Roleplay (Jolt forums)
  • The military side of gameplay
  • Very quick rundown of TNP government and delegate
  • Rundown of various activities on the forums
  • Using the RMB
  • Request to be courteous
That's just some general ideas I thought off of the top of my head. I'll try to come back and flesh them out later.

This is a great idea. I suppose the question is, as a newbie yourself, what sort of information would you find useful yourself? Do you mean stuff about TNP, our government, etc as well- or just NS stuff?

I think the NS part is the most important one - I feel quite like a newbie, too, when some elder nations start talking about, say, the AA or so...give them a NS history lesson!
