Introduction
Welcome to the NPA News for the period 21MAR07 - 03APR07. In this period, alot has happened, a new MoD and DMoD were appointed, we have seen changes across the entire organisation, and Foreign Affairs relating to the NPA have flared up on several fronts.
This issue of NPA news aims at highlighting these points, and more, so that you, the citizens of TNP know where your defence force is heading, and if you wish, how you can be a part of it!
Homefront
Appointment of New MoD and DMoD
At the begining of this electoral term, Nem was elected Minister of Defence by the nations of the RA. Unfortunatley, to unforseen circumstances, RL issues presented Nem with a conflict of interest, which forced him to resign from his position as the elected MoD.
Due to his RL status, Nem had yet to appoint a deputy, and on the 22nd of March, 2007, Mesian and Galapagos Isle's posted their oaths respectivley for MoD and DMoD, after being appointed by the Prime Minister to fufil the remaining term of office.

NPA Restructure
As some of you may already know, the NPA has undergone reforms to attempt to see a much more smoother operation occur. This has seen the formation of 2 Divisions, the Combat Operations Division and the Operational Support Division.
Each Division contains units to assist in its operations, including (but not only) Active Combat Units, Vanguard Units, Public Relations and Intelligence Units.
Their overall input means that operations can be planned with alot more knowledge and foresight, and that we, as an organisation, can become an effective war-fighting machine.
If you would like to know more about the re-structure, please send a PM to Mesian, and we will get back to you ASAP!
New NPA Training Scheme
After some consideration, the old 'NPA Training Programme' was seen as to long and unecasary for your basic front line soldier, and as a result, the new, '72 Hour Training Course' was introduced, which sees a cadet trained within 72 Hours from the acceptance of their application.
Looking at covering the basics of soldiering in NS, cadets, newly promoted as Lance Corporals, focus on gaining practical experience in the field as Lance Corporals before being promoted to corporal, and given the oppurtunity to branch out into different fields within the NPA whilst still remaining part of an Active Combat Unit.
Abroad
NPA Assistance in Iran
The North Pacific Army was deployed to the region 'Iran' to oversee the transition of leadership between the invading force from Britian and Ireland, to a new native government.
This was the first mission the NPA was deployed on after the re-structure, and the troops of the 2nd Active Combat Unit and 4th Vanguard Unit have done us proud!
The request for assistance came on the 28th of March, when Saladin Sword messaged both the delegate and the MoD.
On the 29th of March, the SC approved the deployment, and on the 28th of March, the 2nd Active Combat Unit deployed to Iran.
On the update of 30th/31st of March, an unknown force stormed the region, which saw half of the NPA forces ejected, and the other half bugging out. It then became apparant though that this unknown force was a multi, as all of his nations where deleted the next day.
On the 1st of March, Britian and Ireland declared it no longer wished to hold Iran, and on the 1st of April NPA forces re-deployed in region to oversee a transition to a native delegate within the next few days, and assist the region in re-building itself so that it may be protected against further threats.

Deployment to Willoughby
NPA troops also briefly deployed to Willoughby to assist in securing the delegacy, though, upon arrival, the native delegate ejected the defender lead, and a few others, believing he was more then capable to handle the threat.
As a result, all NPA troops withdrew from the region, and shortly after all defenders had left the region, Willoughby fell to invaders.
