Inactivity

Yeah I wanted to put this in the Public Cabinet Hall but given our stellar record there (/sarcasm) and the amount of work I want done on this, I'll post here. Anyways, activity lately has been dismal. If it's just the usual February and March slip off I wouldn't mind but this seems more severe than usual. Our last election had us begging for candidates and voters oblivious to it completely.

Essentially what are we doing about it? (if anything at all)

I think an updated RA list from the MIIA is in order, and as before I've offered to help.

More importantly is recruitment, once again MIIA, and once again I'm willing to help.

But the MoC can report some going ons to other regions, stir up a little interest. And what starts up the hunger for learning more than a University, c'mon we've got a highly respected new MoAE and a board of regents: what's holding you guys up?

As for the MoD, you can't get fresh privates (wow that felt unnecessarily naughty) without new RA members, I remember some stirring war reporting by Flem and I'm sure you guys can come up with better.

So??

I have not received any communications from any Cabinet members or deputie indicating a planned absence, so I'm not sure what ir up.

I had some unexpected matters to address the first half of this week, but those have been addressed as best I can, and I'm rapidly catching up on regional issues. (At the moment I have PMs out to various folks about various things, I I'll just have to wait for them to respond.)

I'm currently in the middle of processing the RA apps that are open, some have already been accepted.

As to recruitment, I was under the impression that Dali was setting something up, which I volunteered to be a grunt for if he wanted to organize it. If I was mistaken, then I can start my own TGing to nations, but I didn't want to repeat stuff and put people off.

FEC, please take a look at my Task Force post in the main Cabinet forum.

I'd really rather have everybody on the same page, if we can.

This is about policy direction towards increasing recruitment and membership, the taskforce is about consolidating power. Not the same page, not the same book, not the same genre.

Mr. Sniffles:

That comment is so far off the mrk I wouldn't know where to begin.

The task force is designed to test policy and mechanisms. The post by which you started this thread was a rant that offered nothing constructive except to rant. All you want to do is to have the crcle keep going round and round endlessl, and would ultimately offer nothing constructive.

And I am at a loss as to how your view the task force as a consolidation of power. That claim is so bogus, it doen't even justify any further response.

No this thread was about recruitment and trying to see where we were on an important issue facing the region, you trying to steer the discussion off to your pet project is another subject altogether. So far, you've been the only one without anything constructive to bring to the table. Now I'm sorry if my tone is too flippant but I have no wish to go around endlessly just a clear Cabinet strategy to stem the tide of inactivity. I apologize if your task force is higher on your list of priorities than new recruitment.

The last post by a regent other than myself was 4 days ago.

Until we have a voting procedure that has some sort of timeout there's nothing I can really do.
