Howdy all, here's the regional report I've been promising, although its more of a complete round up of this term (hence the slightly unusually layout). Sorry about the length. Aside from some links I'm going to put in and any ongoing RA/UN votes, its how I was going to release it.
Thought I better give everyone a last chance to make additions, or suggest changes.
Post here or PM me if you have any...

The Government
The Prime Minister's Office
The Prime Minister started the term on a high note, by outlining what he planned to achieve over the course of the term. Since then the Prime Minister has:
On a personal note, the Prime Minister also celebrated 2 years in NationStates and The North Pacific during this term, and hosted a special anniversary party of some grandeur.
- Presided over the nomination and election of a Minister of Defence, following problems with NPA endorsements of candidates.
- Appointed and served on a commission tasked with planning and legislating for The North Pacific University. The commission has reported its findings, presented legislation, both of which has been well received within the RA.
- Created and contributed to a commission investigating the future of several ministries of The North Pacific, with regards to the possible merging or dissolution of them. This commission has also reported its recommendations, and proposed legislation.
- Assumed sponsorship of the previous cabinets constitutional amendment to alter the RA membership oath, seeing it through to its eventual passing into the statute.
- Called for legal clarification on constitutional matters, regarding the Oath of Office, resulting in its proper application to members of the Diplomatic Corp
- Following the departure of Byardkuria as Chief Justice, nominated Democratic Donkeys and Poltsamaa to serve as Chief Justice and Associate Justice respectively.
- Served for a time as Interim Speaker of the Regional Assembly will the Speaker was on a planned absence.
The Ministry of Immigration and Internal Affairs
The Ministry of Immigration and Internal Affairs faced a challenging time in the first part of this term. Following the fallout of the previous Ministers term, a suspension had been placed on new RA members, and legislation was passed that altered the RA oath. So far this term, the Minister of Immigration and Internal Affairs has:
- Dealt with the implementation of new legislation, which required current RA members to sign a new membership oath.
- Completed an audit of the RA members recorded at the start of the term, with regards to removing those members who had become ineligible, and to deal with those that failed to sign the new oath.
- Expediently dealt with the back log of RA applications that had built up since the suspension on new members had been implemented during the previous term.
- Continued to deal with RA application in a prompt manner.
Ministry of External Affairs
The Ministry of External Affairs is always busy at the start of a governmental term, as ambassadors and consuls often move on to other things at this time. During the past 3 months, the Minister has:
- Implemented and concluded an audit of current Diplomatic Corp members, confirming assignments, and replacing those members who have left.
- Been involved in on going discussions with his opposite in The West Pacific, culminating in a proposed treaty between our great regions, the first of its kind for over a year.
- Provided consulates for Taijitu, the Equilism GiE (until the re-unification), Americana and Lone Wolves United.
Ministry of Justice
Much of the Ministry of Justice's efforts have been directed to the on going "TNP vs Fulhead" indictment. The Ministry has also dealt with petitions for Judicial Reviews, concerning the Oath of Office, and its applications. Unfortunately this term may be remembered as the one in which Byardkuria resigned as Chief Justice, after a full year of dedication to the task, to pursue other projects within the region.
Ministry of Culture and Education
The Ministry of Culture and Education's work has been stalled somewhat while waiting for the Ministry Study Commission's report. The Minister however has served on both the Ministry Study Commission, and the TNP University Commission in an ex oficio capacity.
Ministry of Arts and Entertainment
As with the MoCE, much of the work of the Ministry of Arts and Entertainment has been overshadowed by the Ministry Study Commission. The forums OOC section has remained vibrant and active, in no small part due to the time and effort of the Minister and deputy Minister.
Ministry of Communication
A difficult time has been had at the Ministry of Communication, with the Ministry Study Commission overshadowing any long term plans, the loss of the Deputy Minister, and the unavoidable access problems of the Minister.
The UN and Regional Assembly
UN Delegate
This term has been a pleasantly quiet one for the Delegate. No bannings have taken place, and with the exception of a single nation, the Delegate has forged excellent diplomatic relationships with any endotarters who have appeared this term. The UN resolutions voted for this term are:
- Repeal "Sexual Freedom" - TNP voted AGAINST
- Repeal "Hearing Impaired Aid Act" - TNP voted FOR
- Repeal "Public Domain" - TNP voted FOR
- Unconventional Arms Accord - TNP voted AGAINST

The Regional Assembly
The Regional Assembly's work has been fast paced this term, working through many highly debated topics, and a large number of important bills. Much of the RA's smooth running can credited to the Speaker and the Prime Minister, both of who have worked tirelessly in this area. RA votes this term are as follows:
- Confirmation of Romanoffia's Nomination for Minister of Defense - PASSED
- RA Oath Amendment - PASSED

- Inactive Ministers - PASSED

The Nations of The North Pacific
This term has seen a range of discussions, from the serious to the silly, in topics discussing everything from NS game mechanics to small hamlets in Austria. Individuals within The North Pacific have been considering the cosmos, discussing the rise of internet encyclopaedias, and occasionally jetting off to sunny skies and sandy shores. All the while, the OOC continues at a relentless pace, proud of its status as one of the most active and high quality in the NS world.
