My fifth year of NationStates

Well, technically it started on the 29th - I made my first nation four years and three days ago. But I didn't have time to post on that occasion.

Now I can wish you a happy new year and celebrate my fourth anniversary at this terrific game, all in one topic!

And what is more, I read Jennifer Government yesterday, which I would call "awesome" had I not made a resolution not to abuse the English language this year. So let's say "excellent". Anyone else here read it? What did you think?

In case the title doesn't mean anything to you, it's only the book whose marketing promotion (NS) we've been enjoying for the last few years or so. :D

Happy new year to all of you!

Happy new year, old timer. :P

Haven't read the book yet, but I've been meaning to get it for some time now.

Congrats on the longevity.......
And I read the book last month and thought it was really funny.....which was a bit of a surprise.....the writing is a bit low brow.....but it's quality entertainment none the less....IMHO

I greatly enjoyed it, although I thought the ending was a bit conventional and lame. However, he did a good job throughout and I would have been hard pressed to come up with a better ending and tie up all loose ends myself.

Syrup, though, is a very good read as well. A "quirky romantic comedy" that could (in a "realm of possibility sense") be categorized that way, but manages to not suck, and have a lot of other things going for itself too.

It really is an addictive game! I created my first nation October 2003, and i'm still kicking around!

Good to see lots of us stay!
