There's this hamlet in Austria

My original reaction when I saw this at a non-NS related forum was that I''ve always have understood that the origin of the word was German, but this was the first time I had ever seen confirmation of it.

I love how the German officials come across like a cross between some sort of disgruntled cockney gangster-types and foul-mouthed prudes. What's the big f-in' joke?...What's the obsession with f-ing?"

*Hersfold bangs his head on the desk.

I just loved the quotes in the article. "We will not stand for these ******** signs." You can't tell if he's pissed off or being specific.

By the way... you might want to put a warning on your link next time. My father was sitting right behind me when I opened that up, I'm really hoping he didn't notice.

I love how the German officials
Woot, you should watch it, Sydia....
Austrians are not Germans, they go >=o on being called like that! Really!

And, naw, I don't think that it'd be funny in RL, because, like said in the text, you pronounce it "Foooking". I'm sure you lads wouldn't even notice someone said that in a proper sentence. Like: "Ich weiß gar nicht was diese ganze Aufregung um Fucking soll." Or so.

And there's sooo much stuff to laugh about in English, so don't be too fickle with it, ok?

Like, in Czech, there's a word written bic, and pronounced bitch, but it means only whip. Uuuuooo, how funny.

Ahhh, and what I personally think is really funny with this article is the category they put it in:

"News from Around the Americas"

*sigh*
