Request for status reports

It's been just over a month since we took office, and I think it would be useful to have the various ministries let me know what has been happening in their ministries over this past month, and what their plans are for the next month, and the remainder of the term.

I know some Ministries have been busy and why (MIIA, MoD), others I'm sure have been busy and I'm not as informed as to what their specific plans are, and others haven't been as visible as I think we would like.

Can the Ministers (preferably to their deputies) post a status report here? If I or any of the other Cabinet members have questions as a result this will be the place to ask.

And Mum, please feel free to say something as well, if you like!

After what is currently at vote, I'm going to wait until the 28th to call any other votes if they come up.

Constitutional Editing though I want done by mid-Jan or I'm calling it dead.

Sniffles, why not ask Unter first?

He's held back partially because he realized, as I did, that there were some substantive changes that have to be dealt with outside the editing, and one of those is the question about the MoC/MoAE/MoCe, and the study commission has some ideas that need to be fleshed out.

One reason I'm not pushing some proposals (like the TNPU and partial minstry consolidation) just yet was that I want to avoid having to put those to a formal vote until January. December 28 may or may not be the best date to resume voting with another holidayy just after that.

Can I suggest you post a poll in the RA and see who expects to be around after the 28th or if there are any votes after the 18th? Then a three day procedural vote can easily be called before then and befire people disappear for the holidays. A suspension of votes can be ratified by the RA membership as a three day procedural motion. Just saying, I'd like to avoid complaints about votes being called too soon.

MoD report on activity -

Activity has generally be a bit off due to the holidays.

I'm running a 'readiness check' pertaining to Academy Cadets to see how quickly they respond (that is, how much they look at the NPA Academy forum).

Invaders/raiders/assorted troublemakers have been very quiet. I suspect this is due to the holidays.

There is also a plan in the works to send out 'envoys' to locate regions at risk to invaders/raiders and to offer them advice on how to secure their regions against invaders/raiders (if they want the advice, that is. If they don't, oh, well!).

Other than that, all activity and operations are nominal and at an approoriate level.

I already gave Unter a heads up back at the end of Nov, as for holding off the vote with another vote; I'm worried about voter weariness as we've had a heavy course load. As to the commissions, we can still debate the topics throughout the time off. Also it was widely expected they'd deliver their findings by at least late Dec or Jan, as a one week or two week result would mean they're already late.

My plan had been not to have the TNPU plan go to a vote until January, so that is not late. The Ministry Study Commission was only appointed about 10 days ago, and they have 3 weeks left as well, so that won't come into play for voting until January. I still expect reports from both by years' end.

I've not heard back anything from the Court Justices about any changes they need to solve the problems about the pace of trials and jury selection; We will have to see if there's time to address those changes before mid-January. And I have to look at a nomination for Chuef justice in January; for once, that nomination is going to be made on time.

Roman, please make sure that any agreements are documented and approved as planned under the military documents legislation that was recently adopted.

The last thing I want to hear is that invaiders who have a pupprt citizen in TNP are being set up for prosecution without a chance to get out of a conflict. The accusations that invaiders who participate in TNP are being set up is not the case, but we have to make sure that NPA deployments are properly authorized.

1. Updated the RA list, finishing the accomplishment of Limitless Events.
2. Instituted the new RA oath, bringing in all new members of the RA under that oath.
3. Commenced a program of checking new RA applicants before they are automatically accepted. (you don't have to put this out there, but I'm mainly running things past Hersfold as long as they're not recognizable)

Future plans...
Telegramming nations in TNP in a recruitment effort. (Possibly during holidays while nothing else is going on)

It now looks quite likely that the amendment to streamline the RA application process will be in the Cabinet late today, as it would take a seismic shift in the voting for it not to pass the RA at this point.
Once that passes, then thate informal proceedure will be more clearly permitted in the Constitution. It's legal as it is now, but cleaning up the language will eliminate further complaints about it.

We'll need to have a discussion with the Speaker and the Court about the RA member verification process so we're not working at cross-purposes in the future.

Absolutely. Any new operations I'll clear with you first.

The easy solution is that if we find such a situation involving invaders with puppets in this region, that we obviously warn them if they are obviously involved. It appears that upon very superficial observations, that there might be an attempt by someone to produce the exact situation you describe. I am of the opinion that anyone who deliberately is trying to get prosecuted should be largely ignored unless they really commit some grievous act.

I don't have much to report.

There are a couple of tarts this holiday season. :P The SC is aware of them. No one is yet approaching EM's 350+ endos.

UN interest is at an all-time low. EM and I will be discussing some ideas on revitalizing the region's response to resolutions.

IRL I will be extremely busy this Christmas, and will have limited time on-line, most of which will be devoted to NS rather than the forum. So if anything here really needs my attention please PM me.
