I wish to know, are you running for Minister of Defence or Delegate?
I will indeed be running for both positions.....As I understand the current situation GBM is running for re-election as delegate....and Rom is running for re-election as MoD....so when I am elected to both positions...I am fully confident that the position I resign(whichever that is) will be taken up by someone who has shown themselves capable of the job already...
The recent joint NPA/other defender groups liberation of The Stronghold was described by some as poorly executed and luckly won. Would you agree with this assessment, and what would you do to insure better co-operation within the NPA, and between the NPA and other organisations?
An excellent question....Let me first answer that by saying the operation was a great success in real terms....I don't think anyone can deny that the stronghold has been returned to a native delegate....
I think those that reported the affair as poorly executed or lucky were a little bitter that the NPA were the first to implement such a joint force....
I hope that answers your questions...
Lt.Gen.Daimiaena....DMoD
I would add that the joint operation was a hugely complicated exercise carried out smoothly and cleanly by all involved....Hats off to Hersfold and Romanoffia for that....and to all of the various troops from the multitude of organisations that took part...
I think that many inexperienced players may think that it is merely a matter of greater numbers to liberate a region....it isn't...it is more complicated than that....
I think the problem with this and other operations is that those not involved in the vader/fenda game do not fully appreciate what is involved in even a simple liberation....some operations are over in a day....some take weeks....to attempt to lay blame for the length of time involved is nonsensical....and to imply shortcomings in the NPA because of the high quality of opposition (such as the Invader delegate of the stronghold) is quite simply ludicrous.....
I think some people expect instant results and declare operations a failure almost before they have really begun....I'm not going to blame attention deficit disorder or MTV...what I will say is that patience is an inherent part of the fenda game....as anyone involved in our longer campaigns will tell you....
I won't deny that we learnt some valuable lessons in that operation....which will be applied over the coming term of office....
I think that the curriculum at the academy needs to be fine tuned....which is understandable as it has only been open for two terms and is in a constant state of flux at the moment as we try to balance theoretical and practical training to produce NPA troops who fully understand the possibilities and the limits of what a fenda operation can be.....
As to better co-operation within the NPA....I don't feel we have a problem in that department....I think the only problem we have is a lack of PR in the region....something that I intend to change....the number of candidates for PM this term who have admitted their lack of knowledge of the NPA is shocking....
I have observed that the NPA is in fact both a hugely successful and highly respected force outside of TNP...yet no-one in TNP who is not in the NPA seems to have a clue about how hard we work to defend their freedoms....and the freedoms of the NS world...I hope to make the NPA more respected in their own region....
With the success of the stronghold in mind...I think we already have some fairly strong links to many other fenda organisations...something I would like to see become more of an aspect of our strategies...at the moment we are....along with many other fenda groups....testing the waters of co-operation.....
