Hello my fellows,
I would like to start out my speech by saying sorry, I was a very poor Deputy to the MoC. There were some personal RL Events that went on during my term that were out of my control. They are now resolved. I hope you will not hold that against me.
Now for my plans for The North Pacific News Central. Ill say my statement flat out, I want stories about OUR region! I'm not saying I want stories only about TNP but only one article was about our home region. Its Nice to read about the ADN, but what about an interview of our own PM? What about why our own MoEA wanted to hold a feeder summit?
Now for other articles I would want, for a guide I will use my favorite magazine, Time.
Time has many articles, Articles about my home, the USA, articles about world happenings, some humor, and some opinion based articles.
This is what I want our wire to be! About The North Pacific, about NationStates in general, some light hearted articles, some oppinion based articles as well. I was a fan of OPA's articles when he wrote them, it brought something different to the NPNC.
There is of course one thing I always wanted our wire to have more of, reporters. One person should not be a reporter for our Paper. We should have a team of writers. I hope the more types of articles will draw more writers to our news wire.
Some of the articles I hope to have to draw reporters are "How-to". This would be helpful for the newer people to the region who always wanted to make that UN nation in the top 200! Next, as I am restating, the opinion articles. The Interviews, the articles about NationStates, other regions, our own region; there is really room for a lot in our paper.
I will end this here and open this up to questions. I of course will add more when I think of it.
