Emperor Matthuis For SC

Firstly I may not be the longest-serving member of this region, far from it. However I have always watched the goings on of the region with interest or at other times disdain.

Security Council is a position people often run for when they are affected by term limits or just think it would be a nice position to have on top of their other role. I am running because I would really like to change how it is worked.

I don't like posting messages in the SC forum asking about various endotarts and being told that the SC is on it. If I were elected I would have regular correspondence from the Security Council to the public, on what they are doing about these endotarters.

This would not only increase activity but let the public know that activity has been increased in the SC. It will make they feel encouraged that the SC is serving its purpose and that they voted for the correct people.

Secondly I would like to see the SC be a lot stricter than it is at the moment. Conch Divers has a higher endorsement count than our Vice Delegate (at time of writing), this is just not acceptable and is a clear breach of the constitution.

If I were on the SC I would encourage them to act swiftly if any nation was approaching around 275 endorsements because that is far above what any nations needs and they are becoming a severe threat to the safety of the region.

As already mentioned my track record is extensive and I am very active, I login at least twice a day, everyday.

Lastly if I am elected Vice Delegate I would be in a good position to contact and keep track of various endotarters. This would make me a very good part of the Security Council.

Thanks and I welcome all questions.

We've ended up taking the VDel 'second-most' provision as an upper-limit on other nations' endorsements, but ultimately the SC is there to approve of actions the Delegate or other government officials wish to take, including bannings. Right now the SC is being as strict as it really can be given its powers. Do you think the SC should be a body to do more than that? (this would probably require a Constitutional amendment.)

Just to note, as Vice Delegate I've also worked with the SC to 'patrol the region,' but have not acted as a voting member. What advantages do you believe having the VDel on the Security Council would bring?

No, the Security Council should advise and not have many real powers. However on that topic there would be little they could actually do except force the Delegate to carry out their actions, which is something I would not approve of.

I would like you 'patrol' the region and monitor excessive endotarting with the help of Ermarian's scanner. I would be happy to contact any endotarter if the Delegate for any reason had not. Lastly I am very visible, 7 billion population and I top the region almost daily. It makes me recognisable and helps me to gain trust with the region's UN members. I have already talked to a few endotarters whilst gaining endorsements and would be happy to do so again.

I welcome more questions.

I'm doing this for everyone, but instead of a Haiku, I wish a Cinquain on why I should vote for you.
