Cathyy's Oath since changed to Pixiedance

I, Cathyy, as the leader of The Republic of Silver Diamond, pledge to obey the Constitution and Laws of The North Pacific region, and to act as a responsible member of its society. I understand that if my Nation leaves The North Pacific region for reasons other than participation in North Pacific Army deployments that I may be stripped of my right to vote and required to reapply. I pledge to only register one Nation to vote in The North Pacific. I understand that my registration of, or attempt to register, multiple Nations to vote in The North Pacific shall warrant the summary withdrawal of my right to vote from all my Nations, past, present, and future, as well as possible expulsion from the Region. In this manner, I petition the Regional Government of The North Pacific region for acceptance as a duly registered voter.

I wish to also apply for membership of the Regional Assembly.

3) Each member Nation shall refrain from giving assistance to any nation or region against which The North Pacific is taking defensive or enforcement action. Exceptions shall be given to Nations acting with official authorization of the North Pacific Army or the North Pacific Intelligence Agency, and is subject to the consent of the Cabinet minister having appropriate jurisdiction.

The Lexicon Declaration of War

On behalf of the Founders, High Council and Citizens of The Lexicon I post the following statement:

Your attempts to send spies into our region have been noted. Although we no longer hold formal diplomatic ties with your region, since their dissolution by Dalimbar we had hoped that we could at least co-exist peaceably.

It seems that is not your wish.

We serve notice on you that your spies will not be tolerated in our region and we reserve the right to see your attempts at espionage as acts of war.

It is a documented fact that Cathyy is one of the founding members of The Lexicon and therefore is one of the "Founders". As she is one of the personas posting the following, she has been giving assistance to a region in which The North Pacific is taking defensive action against. Therefore I charge that Cathyy be charged with violating her oath for violating Article 2 Section 1 Subsection 3 of the Constution for giving assistance to a region that the north pacific is taking defensive action against.

May I respectfully point out to the Court that the nation Cathyy is not a member nation of TNP and has never taken the Oath to become a member nation.

May I also point out that the 'Cathyy' referred to in the nation Pixiedance's oath is not a reference to the nation of Cathyy but rather to Pixiedance's leader as stated in the oath.

The reference to this part of the Constitution:

clearly cannot apply to a non-member nation of the region - such as Cathyy.

I ask therefore that any charges brought against me by the Court of TNP be applied solely to my TNP resident nation Pixiedance.

I would also request that the title of this thread be changed to one more in keeping with a request for Charges in a formal setting and one which does not have such a potential for biasing any future jurors should a trial ensue.

I think that that’s a gray zone Cathyy, it’s been a gray zone ever since I brought it up when I applied to be an RV so very long ago.


Too bad the courts never did make an official decision on duality, I guess they are going to be forced to make one now...

OOC:- I just wanted to let Cathyy know something. I empathise fully with you Cathyy. I too have had problems with other regions lack of understanding of the importance of the role of duality in NS. Why one of them even claimed it was an act of espionage. The Copper Kingdoms actually; very paranoid little bunch they are, decided to order me to sign a non aggression-pact between my region and theirs under the threat of invasion, but then they can't invade cos my region is Password protected. It has lent a new light to me about the whole duality issue. I am being genuine here. Almost honest.


IC however:- You are lucky...we could claim that pixiedance is spying on TNP as a puppet of Cathyy on behalf of the lexicon....not show any proof...and forum ban you...

Duality is a viable defense only if the claimaint actually practises it.

The Court hereby acknowledges the filed complaint, and will immediately serve notice upon the named partie(s) regarding the complaint. Again, as the two Associate Justices are involved in proceedings already, the Chief Justice shall preside.

The court shall hold a special tribunal regarding jury selection procedure in the circumstances, noting three cases running concurrently before the Court, and will deliver the decision of the Justices, along with an expected timeframe of advancement, immediately upon its establishment.

At this time, designations of counsel will be accepted by the Court, as well as any intended witness lists, that those person(s) may be excluded from potential juror pools.

Also, upon service of the complaint, the rules regarding discussions of the case amongst involved parties (the "gag order" provisions) shall be in effect.

In the thread located at http://z13.invisionfree.com/TNP/index.php?showtopic=1589 , you have been indicted by the Minister of Justice for violation of Art. II, Sec I, Clause 3 of the Constitution of the North Pacific.  This message serves as your official  notice of complaint and impending procedure.

Filings regarding designation of counsel may be directed to the presiding Justice in this case, listed below.  At this time, provisions regarding discussion of the case involving involved parties (the "gag order" rules are in effect.
