Jim Rome. Clones. Sports Radio.

I have not had a car that long b/c I am not that old...only recently (as in last year) have I turned to the AM. This is where the personalities are in politics, sports, etc. I though was wondering recently how can one become a popular radio show. Who listens to radio that much other 2-20 minutes at a time in the car? If it is b/c one does at work, then what job to they have. Can I have it?

Also, to OPA, did you hear this year's smack off. I was disappointed; it sounded like a prestigious event...few good calls, no more no less.

G'nite now...

I hate the station that the majority decided on. WEQX, the new alternative or something like that. First of all, the new part is highly debatable as you tend to play songs that are years old, and secondly, She wants revenge is a pretty alright band, but if you play "These things" one more damn time I swear...

Yeah, I would like to listen to NPR above any other radio station. Sad thing is that I don't work with the type of people who listen to NPR and I find that most people my age that listen to NPR are 1.) Stuck up and 2.) Pretentious.

P.S. What are the other 33?
P.P.S And what makes UK radio any better?

*Hersfold likes Sirius Satellite. No commercials, just the occasional numbskull DJ who only talks for 20 seconds between every fifth song. And he only works every other day.

I listen to KSDB whilst cooking, as my computer speakers do not carry well to my kitchen, and I haven't broken down and wired a 1/8' stereo jack into the kitchen from my desk.

It's the only radio station around here that isn't country, adult contemporary, or "classic rock". So, sans the Wildcat, Byard would have to go without the music of his youth.

I usually stick to WDBO and WFLA, the locals here in Orlando. Pat Campbell, Glenn Beck, Neal Boortz, Clark Howard, Bud Hedinger, Mike Savage, and every now and then, I'm there late enough for Jerry Doyle.

Though once I get my new Cobalt, I'll prolly stick mostly to XM 81 and 82... mmm... techno/dance music.
