It has come to our attention that an IF forum related to NationStates has recently been installing IP Address tracking cookies, or some other form of data gathering script, onto user's internet browsers. It is highly recommended for your safety that you scan your computers for invasive software as soon as possible. A program well equipped for this task is Lavasoft's Ad-Aware, which can be downloaded for free at this site: http://www.lavasoft.de/software/adaware/. If the software detects any tracking cookies, it is strongly encouraged that you delete them immediately. Many sites use this tactic to gather information about you, so regular scans could be needed to ensure your safety.

I've noticed that a lot over the years of using IF. I usually just scan and delete. Good to know they finally got off their butts.

Ad Adaware is a good prog.

Remember to only use this software if u DON'T already have an anti spyware prog.

I recommend getting Bitdefender 9 which is an antivirus that includes antispyware tracking and registry control.

Microsoft does have a new anti spyware prog that will be easier to use for those that love Windows. Microsoft Defender Download
