I'd like to welcome all members of the Govenment region to their new consulate.

I, Sajlamot , representing Government, do hereby understand that this consulate in no way forces The North Pacific into any Military or Political Alliance or relationship. I understand that this consulate may be closed at anytime by the Minister of External Affairs for whatever reason. I hereby pledge to follow the rules and regulations of this forum.

Ok.

Heres some info on the region of Government:

We have 146 registered members on our forum and 110 nations in our region.

We have just started presidential elections. The candidates are LotsaTouchy and maxaroni. Congressional elections were last week, and Chief Justice elections are coming up. We also have a few ministers such as Minister of Internal affairs, Minister of External affairs, Minister of Help, etc.

We have embassies with Imperialis, Great Britain, Ireland, Global Right Alliance, The YoungWorld, The United Nations of Meronoth, The Eurasian Republic, Nasicournia, ADN, and of course, TNP.
We have alliances with Florida, Rhode Island, Maine, Illuminati, New Hampshire, Washington, Pennsylavania, Boston, Kansas, Orlando, Niue, Newark, Philippines, and Maryland.

Our military is of average strength and we try not to use it unless in cases of emegencies.

Our founder, God Bless the USA, is a good leader who has some excellent views and is very active in our forums.

Our current President is President Dave, who is a strong leader and is very active on our forums.
Running for president are LotchaTouchy and maxaroni, who are both very actve as well and have some good views of politics.

Our congress consists of LotchaTouchy (unless he is voted President, inwhich case maxaroni will tkae his place), President Dave, Naleloospalakintula, Alomran, DodgeCounty

Our Chief Justice is Sajlamot (me), and as far as I know, no one else is running in our next CJ elections.
 
What exactly does the Minister of Help do? :blink:

And Namyeknom, that's the second time you've spelled this poor region's name wrong... it's "Government", not "Govenment". :lol:
 
One quick question - I read youre topic on how to get an embassy, and it said that it would upgrade from a consulate to an embassy once the ambasador becomes active on the forums... is this true?

And Hersfold... the minister of help is the one who does all the forum support stuff... right now it's GBUSA.... its kinda unofficial, but o well....
 
Firstly, apologies of the poor spelling, its been a long couple of weeks. :blush:

Secondly, I believe a 'getting to know you' period is customary between the opening of a consulate, and upgrading to an embassy. Purely to make sure the two regions get on well, and their are no major diplomatic incidents (like some fool of a minister consitently spelling the regions name wrong :duh:).
 
Interesting... Most of the forum support stuff here is just handled by me or Flem... since we're the admins, it's easier that way. No middle-man.
 
Well, Hersfold, GBUSA is Minister of Help and he is the Admin, so....

And Ator, you are correct, we are not fully joined with them.
 
I was going to post on the TNP HQ about this, but considering you have a consulate here I figured I'd post here first.

I assume The Low Paid Employees of Government Recruiters is your recruiting nation for your region. I would like to ask that you, according to our region's rules, keep the ads 15 lines or under on our regional message board in NS.

You can post a longer message (I'm not sure if you have) in our ads forum section on this forum.

Well, it's kinda both....
Someone (i believe maxaroni) posted a topic about what we could do with the suggestions forum, and we decided on having a minister of help... then I suggested GBUSA for the position and everyone else agreed, so he just kinda took over there.... :lol:

And are you absolutely certain you want me to get active here? Because when I start spamming, I dont stop.... as you can see when you look at the date I joined the government forums - Dec. 17 - and then looking at our posting stats (I'm the top poster with around 2,570...)

I have just been told that one of our recruiter regions, The Low Paid Recruiters of Government Recruiters has exceeded the 15 line recruitment ad limit on the TNP regional board. Please do not post more then 15 lines of recruitment ads there again.

I regret to inform all members of TNP that Alomran has committed a crime and has been banned from government.

And thanks for the info. Anything you want to go into in more detail? For instance crime commited? Also do you mean banned 'removed from office' or banned 'banjected'?
 
Alomran was accused of treason and conspiracy as well as some other things and has been completely banned from the Government forums and the region.
 
He was working for a region that we are enemies with because they are trying to bring down the states of america, which we are trying to make better.
I will not say any more until I have approval from our president and founder to do so.

We could start circulating rumors that he was hitting on the Founders daughter (whether or not the Founder has a daughter is immaterial, as I'm concerned).

Or would that not be diplomatic?
 
Heh. Can't, I'm election Commissioner, and leaving. But feel free to throw the reigns of the government over to me whenever! :yes:
 
Saj, I know we've mentioned it before, but could you remind your recruiters to keep your ads on our RMB less than 15 lines in length? Government Recruiters just posted another over-length ad, and this would be the second offense. Thanks.
 
What was the name of this second recruiter?
All of the recruiters have said they didnt do it... at least, all the ones active on our forums...

Edit: Please inform him that he is risking a regional ban for a third offense, under our laws. I will also be TG'ing him personally this time.
