The UN Record of Resolutions is an ongoing project to fully document the texts of all resolutions, passed, failed, repealed, and removed, from the very first resolution to the most recent. A project of this magnitude has never been fully completed before - the official records on NationStates only include those resolutions that were passed or repealed, and the UN Timeline on NS Wiki shows in detail each resolution ever attempted, but the text of each is reached through a not-always-reliable link. By placing the full text of every resolution in one place, research and cross-refrencing can be completed much easier than ever before.

Each resolution listed below will be listed in the following format:

Each Resolution Title will be a different color depending on it's outcome:

PASSED Resolutions
FAILED Resolutions
REPEALED Resolutions
DELETED Resolutions

The Record Number refers to the order in which the Resolution reached quorum.
The Official Resolution Number only applies to passed or repealed resolutions, and refers to the order in which the Resolutions were passed.
The Actual Resolution Number applies to passed, deleted, and repealed resolutions, and refers to what the Official Resolution number would be if no resolutions had been deleted.

There are 13 Resolution Categories, including:

Each Category (except repeal) has two or three subcategories. These are usually Strength ratings which determine the magnitude of the Resolution's effect. In the case of a Repeal, the sub-category is the repealed (original) Resolution.

All data for the Record is obtained from Official UN Archivals and the UN Timeline at NS Wiki. Texts of Deleted and Failed Resolutions are obtained from their respective articles on NS Wiki. Any questions, concerns, or comments about the Record may be sent to Hersfold via Personal Message.

International Security - Strong - Maxtopia (CTE)​

Description: As the world become a more dangerous place, UN member nations must act swiftly in the interests of peace. This means, of course, building lots of new weapons. Only by massively increasing military budgets world-wide will we be able to restore peace and global security.

Votes AGAINST: 1 (33.3%)

Note: This resolution was passed before the official opening of the UN, and is considered a test resolution. It was repealed by Resolution #78, the first repeal of the UN.

Scientific Freedom

Free Trade - Mild - Genius (CTE)​

Description: The people of Genius have long stood for Scientific freedom. By ensuring that peaceful and responsible scientists can research by their own accord, and in any nation they please, technology will move forward, and trade will increase.

Free Trade - Mild - Mercia (CTE)​

Description: The removal of regions in DVD's that prevent a user from one region watching the DVD's form another. One region is all wek need.

End Slavery

Record #6 - Resolution #6 - Actual Resolution #6

Human Rights - Significant - Monocerous (CTE)​

Description: The scourge of slavery yet remains in these progressive times. People are bought and sold like cattle, unable to determine their destiny. Their families are split apart; they are allowed no possessions of their own. They are beaten, chained, and tortured.

Therefore, I propose that the following human rights be given to every peoples of this great world:

- The right to leave her or his job, given two weeks' notice.
- The right to own possessions.
- The right to travel freely throughout their country.
- The right to bodily safety from one's employer.
- The outlawing of the selling or purchasing of people.

The Furtherment of Democracy - Strong - Mercia (CTE)​

Description: There are far too many proposals being made and many worthy ones are sinking without trace. I propose a limit of one per week for each nation.

Search Function

Record #8 - No Resolution Number - Actual Resolution #8

The Furtherment of Democracy - Significant - Padmez​

Description: Delegates are often asked to endorse different proposals, however these are hard to find.

I propose that there should be a search function to enable us to find proposals without having to search through 65 pages.

This will make it easier to get proposals approved, since there are so many that none of them have enough votes.

Secretary General

Record #9 - No Resolution Number - Actual Resolution #9

The Furtherment of Democracy - Strong - Labrador (CTE)​

Description:The UN should work as it does in the real world. We need an equivalent to Kofi Annan, who would be voted on by the Regional Delegates.


The Secretary General would create Councils (Security Council, Human Rights Council, Environmental Council, Trade Council, etc.)


Proposals would then go before the appropriate Council for consideration before passing to the Proposal list for consideration by Regional Delegates.


This would weed out stupid proposals, while giving worthwhile proposals a chance to become Resolutions.

Votes Against: 597 (28.2%)

Resolution 245A Proper Grammar

Record #10 - No Resolution Number - Actual Resolution #10

The Furtherment of Democracy - Significant - Scrotalia (CTE)​

Description: Too long have UN Proposals been filled with improper grammar. One can scarcely move between two pages of proposals without seeing some sort of grammar or spelling error.

People need to realize that "your" and "you're" are NOT the same word. People also need to realize that "to" and "too" are also not the same word, and that the "Vaticant" does not exist.

Any country that files a proposal with such language shall henceforth be banned from proposals until such time as they understand the English language and can properly convey their ideas.
