HAL (Heftian Alliance of Libertarians): Relatively new and popular political party and movement.
Tarsites: Religious fundamentalists known for staging over-the-top protests, accused by some of being terrorists.
HAIL (Heftians Against Illegitimate Liers): A protest group opposed to the current government, and disillusioned with the slow progress made by HAL.
Traditionalists: An old party that may be beginning to fall out of favor, but still has lots of influence; the strongest “Conservative” group in Heft.
Constitutionalists: The current ruling party. Despite the new opposition from HAL, still the most popular party.
